I always liked her voice. but there was too much nudity in her videos, my
eyes were raped...
I thought there was no depth inside it. But now I know her history, the
abusive relationship she has been through, I understand.
I hope one day, her ghosts will release her.

The problem I have with Mariah when it comes to singles and videos are a
disconnect. I wish she would stop her glamour shot sh*t during videos
especially during emotionally charged songs like this. I mean because the
lyrics totally call for her to pose on a beach and caress herself for the
camera. I'm not saying she has to make a literal reenactment of the lyrics,
but damn don't sit there and just pose for the camera. If you stand by your
song writing ability, then make a video that showcases that rather than one
that showcases vanity.

+Ian Francis I do understand where you are coming from, but at the same time, she probably didn't write the song by herself or at all, sometimes artists take work from others (credited of course) with their own take on it, or people write songs for specific people to sing- again not saying that for this song that's the case, but its possibly why it seems so disconnected. Also as an artist, I'm pretty sure she isn't the only one who comes up with ideas for her videos and shoots- she probably has managers that handle that. I get completely what you're saying though, as the song doesn't match the video, but perhaps it's not always her Idea.
