I'd bet my 2.5i '05 Legacy would fail that test as well. Why Subaru put
open diffs on an AWD car (beyond just being cheap) I'll never know.

+Anonymau5555 absolutely would fail this test. Your $1500 car doesn't have ebrakes or limited slip differential in the rear, just center is semi locked. This Forester they put in the video has ebrakes, which is why it will climb. Otherwise it would do the same as those other losers. The Forester in the video really is that good. It is almost as good as something with differential lockers. Has nothing to do with symmetrial drivetrain. I have the same drivetrain as the one in the video, and it won't pass that test, even with rear limited slip.

The Rogue also offers a locking center differential at speeds under 10 mph.
If they had pushed the button to lock the system, it would have pulled up

My high school teacher once told our class that the safest way to deal with
losing grip in the snow was to just let the car run its course and wait for
it to stop. To myself I was just like "no lol." And later that day I was
drifting around and having a blast. I love snow driving.
