One came with my gently used RV, upon inspection it tore like paper. Based
on all the reviews I ended up buying the Designer Series and I also made a
mental note to purchase another one in 2-3 years. Although looks good when
new.

+Gene Smith China bike? I have a yamaha wr250r, japanese not chinese. You are right though, the majority of the material items we own caused/causing some destruction of the earth. However, bs like gold/silver jewelry is totally unnecessary. Do you realize how much of these beautiful mountains can be saved if we eliminated jewelry made from precious metals from the earth? Also, a lot of the steel and aluminum used to make motorcycles and cars are from recycled metals, less destruction of earth.
+CycleCruza only thing thats gonna make em stop is someone finds where there hidy hole is,and mess thewir views up as well.long as we have these stinking yuppies where their remember this bro, nimby or not in my back yard cause we supposedly are free nothing will change.long as they get attention they do what they want no stompin is gonna change nothing,i came from a hood in philly, real city old school dweeler to the buirbs bro.we muist be distant cousins lol,you sure do think like i do in many respects, stay safe and ride the hiway me on my cruiser and you on whatever makes ya happy, peace brother allways.
+Nelson Ammon Imagine if you bought a house with a beautiful mountain view and some mining company came into town and stripped the mountain that was in your view. I would be ready to stomp a mud hole in them. I saw a documentary on strip mining in west virginia and how people were pissed off they stripped the mountains all around their houses.
+Vikingenes Ferd I first went to Victor in 2001, 14 years ago, it looked just as bad then then it does now and not one f**king tree has grown in that pile of rubble. You can't grow mountains! Those mountains are DESTROYED FOREVER!
Hey Cycle Technology is awesome. It's just a small sacrifice that some
mountains are strip mined. Many lives are saved and many habitats are
protect with technology. I personally prefer that some mountains are mined,
compared to a life without vaccines, computers, entertainment, and warm
houses during winter... just to name a few. Humans do awesome things...
Don't let the human haters get to you. We're awesome. Our species has
discovered mathematics and secrets to the how the universe functions, not
to mention the invention of ethics and medical sciences.
Or simply, nature has been kicking our asses for 4.7ish billion years. Now
it's our turn to do some kicking. If we're true to ourselves, we wont kick
as hard as it did, because we have something nature doesn't... empathy.
Admittedly, we are a young species, with a lot of learning still left. The
universe is better off that we're here.
No, we have to leave earth because our survival depends on it, and the earth will not last for ever. In 2 billions years all large mammal life on earth will be extinct no matter what. Much sooner if we don't develop asteroid defense technology. Just think of it like we're trading some resource now, so our progeny will have a place to live without giant fireballs from space, or our dying star, killing all life. All life on earth will end eventually. If the other species don't develop intelligence capable of space travel, they're doomed anyway.
if we have to leave earth than earth is basically doomed for millions of years. The only reason why we all have to leave is if we used up all of the available resources
I think you're conflating "technology" with "living". Living requires the use of resources, technology is the use of resources to improve living. The difference is in "ends vs means". Living is the ends, technology is the means. Yes, technology absolutely can save earth's resources. It's very nature is solve problems, and improve life (we can be 100% certain of this). Our use of energy has been moving steadily towards ever increasing efficiency and cleanliness. Not much more land is used for agriculture today than 100 years ago (yet we're producing an order of magnitude more food), along with much less human effort (It takes fewer humans to grow food). Fewer trees are being cut down because of the digital revolution (we need less paper). Renewable energy sources are being discovered/invented almost daily, though they take time to make it to market. Also, if humans leave earth t oexplore the universe (by use of technology) then earth can be left to find its "natural" state. (whatever that means, since humans are nature)The only thing technology may not be able to solve is how to keep the Sun from turning into a neutron star. Or how to stop cosmic expansion, or particle decay. Those will definitely destroy Earth... along with the rest of universe.
+aseredy no matter what technology cannot save earths resources as resources are needed for technology. That is the twist, so it can go either way. No one can be 100 percent certain about technology.
I guess my view is a bit counter intuitive. It's very intuitive to think "fewer people = less stress on the planet". I would argue the opposite is true, in regards to technological, environmental, and social development.I don't want to imply that humans are perfect, but I think a lot of has to do with wealth and opportunity. ie Wealthy and educated societies seem to treat the environment better, and wealthy and educated people seem to have fewer children. I think the best or most humane solution is to allow 3rd world countries to industrialize as quickly as possible, to see the same uninterrupted growth 1st world nations have seen over the past 150 years. The silver lining is that it doesn't need to take 3 or 4 generations as in our case. India has seen a comparable growth in standard of living in 1 generation, that took US households 2 generations. They can build off our success.Plus there are certain aspects of progress what can not be solved in any reasonable time by small or contained populations. Complex mathematics to explain the universe, interstellar travel, future medicines, and so on. These types of grand problems require huge populations to solve in any reasonable time, because generally only an infinitely small fraction of the people devote them selves to the problems. We're also 100,000 years over due for a extinction level asteroid. Then all the population control and environmental edicts in the world wont save us. We need to hurry up and develop technology to defend the planet, something we have been unable to do even with a population of 7 billion. I think along the way we'll solve a lot of the problems you outlined as well.I honestly believe humans are the best hope for all life on this planet, in the relative long run. It's just unfortunately-unavoidable that some species are lost due to our ignorant, inexperienced or meddlesome nature.
+aseredy The REAL problem is human overpopulation. We have no real predators anymore so humans are polulating out of control thus putting a strain on earth, especially highly educated and greedy humans who place profit over protecting the earth for future populations. Although I enjoy technology like everybody else, technology is destroying the beautiful earth and will end up destroying all of life eventually. Glaciers are melting and mountains being destroyed along with land being polluted as we speak. I guess ignorance is bliss for now. lol However, I feel sorry for future generations if we continue this slaughter of earth.
I've been watching the channel for some months now and I see you talk a lot
about motorcycles and I haven't seen much about the gear and jackets and
helmets and I'm a big guy so if you can help us out too
+Michael Clark Go to my gear review playlist, you can see the playlist on my website cyclecruza.com, menu bar "my videos." I just did a video on boots and knee/shin guards not too long ago. I want a bug out van!? I could just disappear whenever I wanted and be
totally self sufficient to explore, and also ride! Do you think you could
at some point do a cost breakdown for us regarding this awesome van?
Real talk: if I was in the woods by myself, like how you are sometimes, I
would just take a shit right there, and just leave it there. Cause I am a
lazy ass
+CycleCruza that's the risk lol. but realistically I would either go in the woods, or just stop at a nice gas station. the thought of having crap in that sweet van would drive me crazy
+DPMAce Then some punk will catch you and video it on the cell phone and upload it to youtube and you will be a national embarrassment. lol besides, it's more comfortable on the portable toilet, just make sure to put cat litter in it and there will be no smell, a lesson I learned real quick. lol
