I wouldn't run that many lights on just one single relay. You might want to run two relays so you don't burn the contacts out. A 30" and 50" lights may take 480 watts, so at 12V they'll need 40 amps together. But because there is power loss, you'll be needing a little bit more than that going through the relays. So don't chance it, give each light a relay. If you want them on one switch, then connect the switch to both relays to turn them both on at the same time.
Rigid are by far worth the cost haha. I have a 40" Rigid Bar and the light
shoots over 1km. I have bought two cheap ones in the past. One being a 20"
and the other being a 30". They don't even compare.
The Led bars sold bya local vendor do basicly what you say your Rigid does ,but a 50 inch bar is only $280 ...I got a pair of 22s for about $350 they go 3/4 to 1 mile in distance . Those who paid $1600 for an LED light bar when the suppliers and manufacturers were limited will be like the folks who back in the day who bought VCRs when they first came out and a unit cost around $800 for a four head unit and then a couple years later were about $80 dollars ...DVD same Idea ...nothing in a Rigid bar is worth $1600 they like the first VCRs to hit market in the early 80s nothing more and if they keep up on the price will not be selling many bars in the future as they will only sell to folks who simply have to have the illusion they are getting something super awesome B/C they are paying such a high price ...and not all Chineese lights are the same quality the good ones rival rigid and at $1300 less .
+phattacoriderYep, they are definitely expensive. I found a good place where I live that I can get for about $150 cheaper than retail. The 40 is right at $1050. In some cases you do need that extra light output but not normally like you said. I was kind of going off of your comment below of saying they're not worth it and they leak.... I work in the Canadian Oilfield and I definitely need these lights as we have a lot of wildlife and moose and elk being some. Even worse, a moose's eyes don't emit light and if you don't have good lighting out in front of you doing 70-75mph then yes you will hit something and possibly get seriously hurt or killed since they are dark brown to being with. I am more than happy with my knock off Totron 30" bar on my rzr though, still seriously bright and more than enough like you said.
Not everyone can afford Rigid Industries. They don't tailor to the less than common person. $1200 or so for a 40" light bar brand new retail? I don't think so. Sometimes you get what you can and just enjoy it. And I don't think being able to see 1km is that much of a brag. If you need 1km to react to a turn or something, then maybe you need a vehicle upgrade and not a light upgrade, just saying. I'm perfectly happy with what I have, and I have a totally new setup from this video.
just get a bigger one from ebay, i have one 30' and a 50'' both on my roof cage, both of them were together 360 Australian dollars, and god dam it they set the road alight! easy have light for 1km, ill soon be getting two light force spotty s down on my bull bar!
I wouldn't go with Rigid. They are way too expensive and from the reviews that I've read, some of them still leak. Light bars on ebay are still great in terms of power output, durability, and cost.
