+Der Dudelino I have a full time career in the Arts/Film industry which means i'm restricted from making YT Reselling videos myself. I only do Reselling P/T for fun but i was brought up in the Retail industry and have various business qualifications/Awards during my time in Retail...bottom line it's all about profit, how much you buy for and how much you sell for.I have a Pro Account on Amazon and i've looked very closely at FBA, there's no doubt that by using it as a platform, you can gross a lot of money but the big problem is that i've estimated that my outgoings would also inflated to the point that my profit margins are decreased i.e You could be grossing 50k on Ebay with outgoings of 10K or you could be grossing 100k on Amazon with outgoings of 75k and thereby my overall net profit would be more on Ebay despite only grossing half the amount. Let me explain further: I only work to a £1 x 10 margin so that for every £1 i spend on a item i plan to resell, i expect at least £10 back. On Saturday i bought 8 items costings me £11.50 in total and i'll get at least £130 gross from the sales on Ebay. Factor in all my bottom end costs and an extra 2 hours for cleaning, sorting, posting, and packing of these items, it will amount to £90 net profit for 4 hours work of sourcing and selling my stock...not bad for something i do purely for fun and relaxation.Could i scale what i'm doing? Absolutely, my financial forecast is that if i devoted at 40 hours a week to my reselling schedule, i could be clearing at least £1000 for most weeks on Ebay and nearly £1500 a week during the fourth quarter and hit around £60k in my first year as a full time Ebay Reseller and 35k net profit after all costs including tax. That's not a huge amount of money but not bad either!As for RA on Amazon, it would only work for me if i was buying in quantities of 50 to 100 at a time but there's really no fun for me in turning a profit that way and thankfully i don't need to do it either.Long term though, RA is slowly on its way out mainly because Amazon are becoming sellers themselves and undercutting all the other Resellers. They have their platform, they have their data on what sells, they have their warehouses so the next logical step for them is to now sell those items themselves on a much bigger scale up then they have been doing, which would effectively end RA for almost all Amazon Resellers.

+TheKeggie: The amount he is selling, would be very hard to do on eBay. He would have to invest hours and hours just sending out all of this stuff individually and remember - customers want their stuff quickly, so you have to send it fast. I am on eBay as of right now, because I sell small quantities. But the moment you do this professionally, I think FBA is the way to go.

+TheKeggie It makes sense to me, very little work and time invested compared to eBay, and very healthy margins on a lot of the stock, some of the margins are lower, but when you factor in how easy and quick it is it makes sense.

Thanks pal. Might nor be for a couple of months as I have a new job that requires me working both days of the weekend, and that's generally when Car boot sales are on. I have some time off in August so will try to get at least one more done then
