not bad Pierre Sprey for a turky that is not good at anything, that is underpowered, can't turn, can't manouvers, bla bla bla. Look like he was wrong :D

Will there will be blue Angels F-35s instead of blue Angels F-18s?

+Monster LMA but isn't the F-18s going to be replaced including the blue angels f-18s?

+mrwong11989 No  it has the same turn performance as an F-18  so no point in using a more expensive aircraft.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
The F-35 is an expensive piece of crap. It can be out turned by almost any fighter made after 1970 including the F-16 it's supposed to replace (Lockheed had acknowledged that). It's lousy in the CAS role and is so unable to take any real battle damage (including just AK-47 fire) it will likely not even be authorized for use in most situations in which deploying the A-10 would be done without concern (this will cost many lives). It's stealth is overrated and any potential advisory has had decades to create radar and missile systems to counter it - in fact simply going with longer wave radar can counter much of the benefit. Not to mention the fact that one requirement for stealth to be effective (think F-19 and the B-2) is operations largely limited to night - not so with an F-18, F-16, A-10 replacement which will operate during the day when it can be visually tracked and have fighters and missiles vectored in on it. Also, it's single engine has never approached the specified reliability originally required and so we're going to wind up losing more than a few to simple engine failures. However, by far its greatest liability is cost. Comparing this jet to a Harrier or F-16 is misleading as, given its cost, you should be comparing it to 4 or 5 of each of those aircraft. I received an Engineering degree from a private US College for the total cost of operating an F-35 for less than 2 hours!! Any given advisory could spend 1/2 the amount we spend and still outnumber the F-35 3 to 1 with perfectly modern fighters.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Martin Hendry I love the way people like you can defend this jet by saying that it's still being tested - IT'S A DECADE LATE! That's like saying I didn't fail the math test because I just didn't show up to take it. All of you guys taking stealth miss the reality that this isn't some plane sneaking around in the dark like the B-2 or Stealth Fighter - this plane will have to go over enemy territory, over enemy troops, in broad daylight. It will be seen and can then be tracked visually and missiles can be guided visually to a target which can be seen by the naked eye. We have had man portable missiles guided visually and there's nothing stopping someone from building a modern version with a microprocessor from being just as efficient. As for BVR - Missiles have been effective at up to 100nm for some time now (think Pheonix) but you can't shoot at a target you can't first identify. F-35s are going to be called upon to visually identify at least some of their targets and that is when they will potentially be pulled into a dogfight and since any potential enemy fighter can out turn and out accelerate it the game will be over. And at over $100 Million a copy watch us take them out of action after 2 or 3 are downed. Oh yea, they're 5th generation, but if they get into the sites of a P-51 they're still dead. As for your "russian troll" crap believe me - the Russians love this bird. We're spending $Trillions on a plane that they can counter for much less. We're helping them with aircraft like these.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Eric PThe air craft is still in testing and the flaws are beeing fixed. The jet f-35 will replace all of them. Your just now saying what is going on right now f-35 has not even seen any action. It doesnt seem like you have flyed the plane or are a part of USMC so dont make faulss claims. The jet hasnt even seen any action. RIP A-10 BRRRRRRRRRRRRT. "What will kill this aircraft is a limited war against a top tier enemy - without F-15s to protect them" its funny becouse the enmy jet wont even spot the f-35 and the f-35 would of been already locked on the enemy and taken it down. In 21st century there are no dog fights. And f-35 is the best jet in the world like it or not even the fucking CHINESE hackers stole blueprints and their military is trying to make a shitty knock off. So please russian troll go fuck your self.. Oh i forgot to mention the f-35 5th generation jet will be in service only in 2018. (sorr for my bad english).
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Martin Hendry Noone is laughing. Just last week the Pentagon admitted that the A-10 is getting another lease on life because, although we have been producing F-35s for years now, it is incapable of performing its CAS or bombing mission against ISIS - an enemy without an Air Force. This is how this will work - we will spend more than a $$Trillion$$ building this thing and watch how the Navy keeps its F-18s long past planned retirement and the Air Force maintains F-15s and F-16s because, in the end, the powers that be know that this aircraft is incredibly flawed. This aircraft will enter service not because it is so good but because it is so politically armored with production and testing distributed to so many Congressional Districts that no politician can vote it down. What will kill this aircraft is a limited war against a top tier enemy - without F-15s to protect them, F-16s to do the bulk of the bombing missions, and A-10s to protect our troops the flaws in this aircraft would be exposed for everyone to see.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Eric P Well you can laugh all you want, but the facts speak for them selves. now you can only slam me and I don't give a shit what ignorant claims you keep making. The F-35s are gong into service and here to stay and you can't change that fact. So all you ranting and false claims mean nothing. So now you can go cry to your mommy.

Lockeed Martin should be deported for this. How embarrassing.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4jfb25oCRH8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAV0/CGk2iqkKyAk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Eric P Lockheed Martin doesn't even make the seat, dumbass. Again, all aircraft have had shit like this happen during development, and frankly, it doesn't matter because no one has been banned because of it anyway. Also, if the ejection is all out how far you get from the plane, how is that relevant to that Russian pilot surviving? Does this mean a zero-zero seat in more likely to kill the pilot in that attitude due to him spending longer with the rocket motor on? No.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+MillionFoul "The US military services have now decided to ban pilots under the eight of 136 pounds from operating the plane. " - did you even read the article being sited? Also, as I already said, zero-zero is the ability to eject on the ground if needed. It doesn't involve having "the seat can deploy it's full chute instantly upon ejection" which is pretty ridiculous - it means having a system which can elevate the pilot enough so that his shut can deploy prior to him going splat on the runway. However, this is all mute as this is simply another Lockheed failure which limits this jet and costs us more money and which people like you will defend to your dying breath - hundreds of billions over budget and nearly a decade behind schedule - you must really hate our military to be supporting a system like this.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4jfb25oCRH8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAV0/CGk2iqkKyAk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Eric P Zero-zero indicates that the seat can deploy it's full chute instantly upon ejection. That's not all that hard to do.Additionally, his jet way spinning, not power-diving towards the ground. His downward velocity likely did not exceed 100 knots. The aircraft took nearly nine seconds to reach the ground, and the pilot exited 3-4 seconds after the crash. That's 4-5 seconds for his chute to fully deploy, and ejection seats have been able to manage that for about sixty years.Secondly, pilot's won't be fully disqualified, rather, they will have to sign a waiver; as I've already mentioned. They do this literally every current jet in the US inventory.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+MillionFoul Fuck-wit - really? First you're the one who doesn't know what zero-zero is. Zero Zero is 0 speed and 0 altitude which is VERY different from heading strait down within a few hundred feet from the ground. (heading strait down isn't 0 speed). Second they should have gotten this correct rather than having to disqualify a set of pilots, pilots in whom we already spent millions training, from flying. Even Lockheed admits that this was a mistake - why are you defending?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4jfb25oCRH8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAV0/CGk2iqkKyAk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Eric P Did the pilot weigh less than or more than the ejection seat limit? Do you even know what a zero-zero seat is you uneducated fuck-wit? You're sitting on a goddamn rocket, for fucks sake.Currently, if you're not within the limits, you sign a contract stating that you know the seat is more likely to kill you then other people. This has been going on since the damn things were invented.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+MillionFoul Why are you defending this piece of crap? By 2014, the program was $163 billion over budget and seven years behind schedule and they couldn't get the ejection seat right? Actually, we have gotten ejection seats right before as has every country making jet fighters now days. Remember the Mig-29 crash at the Paris Air Show in the 1990s - the guy ejected at less than 300ft going strait down and walked away. Maybe we should contract the Russians for the their seat?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4jfb25oCRH8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAV0/CGk2iqkKyAk/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Douglas Smith Like literally every ejection seat ever made. They're not perfect, and are only a last resort.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AeUmxTPqgMc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAFM/cKura54to-w/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Douglas SmithMeans nothing. Those type of reports are only to sell papers and you bought one.

+Robert Brockway, they'd have to be foreign agents to do this: //www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3260675/Pilots-eject-new-350billion-stealth-fighter-break-necks.html

"deported" now that just shows how ignorant you are.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AeUmxTPqgMc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAFM/cKura54to-w/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Dace DavisStandard false claim bullshit. Not one thing and I mean NOT one has any truth. Hell kid you wouldn't know 1g from 9 gs, what a dumb ass.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-G6SsOTg2As8/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAADA8/sAGccCOTVL4/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Douglas Smith Douglas - I fear this thing is a reflection of everything that is wrong with our procurement process. The sad thing is our fliers have ended up with a real piece of crap. The youtube fanbois are impressed by the hover, the made in hollywood claims of "stealth" and a fancy flashy cockpit, having been around for 60+ years I know a albatross when I see one. This thing is a dog. Note the LACK of Hi-g manuevers in the demos you see so far. I kept waiting and did not see more than 3-4 positive. This thing will be eaten alive.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AeUmxTPqgMc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAFM/cKura54to-w/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Eric PollingerAnd all that based on your opinion? So now you're smarter than everyone at the military and Lockheed. I find that hilarious.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Robert Brockway The F-35 is the single greatest attack on our defense in history - including Pearl Harbor. We will lose many ground soldiers, ships, and likely some future wars due to this boondoggle.
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-AeUmxTPqgMc/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAFM/cKura54to-w/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Douglas Smith Ain't too bright are you, lame comment.
