Snakes and Ladders: Affirmative Action
The affordance of opportunity is a snakes and ladders climb. This year the U.S. Supreme Court will revisit Affirmative Action which has attempted to create a path ...
Affirmative action is nothing more then state sponsored racism. Both of
you girls are racist people, its evident in the way you depicted the white
girl as some dumb bimbo who couldn't remember the name of the university
she applied to. It disgusts me the way black america has become so racist
and hate filled.
I see no way that someone who is a veteran as you mentioned that also grew
up in a low income family that just so happens to be white has any benefit
from affirmative action. Please elaborate...

Chilliwack Flood Dykes
This video about the City of Chilliwack's Fraser River dyking system demonstrates the areas in Chilliwack within the floodplain, highlights the dykes that protect ...
I agree dyking is a key requirement to Chilliwack. It is also sad that the
city would choose to spend the taxpayers hard earned money on a propaganda
video trying to get the public on side. To date the City of Chilliwack has
railroaded democracy by not letting the affected residents speak in front
of elected officials at the council chambers. Which is wrong !!!!! The city
in 2007 did a great job elevating the dykes past Young to Island 22.If
Young was so vital, why not go down that way ?The video does not tell the
whole story, just have truths. Young rd did not breach in 1948. Measuring
water marks on homes from the 1948 floods show the road would not overtop
at present height. The city has spent big money on studies showing
potential dyke breaches. If Young rd was so important why wasn't it
included? Oh yeah it didn't breach in 1948! Here's the link to that report.
www.usehazus.com/uploads/main/20121209ChilliwackFloodRisk.pdf. Finally I
was emailed a page out of a 173 page report by the city trying to tell me
why they are going down Young rd. I bet the Province of BC is really happy
you took one page out of context. It's 173 page report for a reason. Here's
that link to
//www.env.gov.bc.ca/wsd/public_safety/flood/pdfs_word/Fraser_River_Design_Flood_Level_Update-Hope_to_Mission_Final_Report.pdf . Please
drive down Young rd and imagine the road being over a metre higher. How is
the homeowners going to access their properties? Suddenly your property
decreases in value. Where is the water going to drain? Ask the city the
price tag on this project. They can't tell you yet, pay as they go. They do
have better planned routes. Call city hall and demand the residents of
Young rd get a say !!!!!! This is Canada
