Everything looks great guys!! CHEESE I love and miss, I still eat from time
to time but eat mostly daiya vegan cheese now which actually is very good
melted and in casseroles or with tacos and stuff, I enjoy real cheese when
I choose to eat out !! I do like the weight watcher entrees also NOT all of
them but some of them. Hugs guys Rob
+Life Happens Hey Rob!!!!!!! Oooh, I may have to look for that vegan cheese. Khaleef is trying to cut back on the cheese and I'm not helping :( I agree, those entrees aren't all good. ~ Sher
I saw that letter a couple of days ago and saw your blog post this morning,
and yes we have a terrible problem but I was appalled at that woman and if
my kid came home with such a letter I would be BACK at her house and I
would HOPE she would have police there because I would be kicking HER butt,
if she wants to do something then hand EVERYONE out a healthy snack, I
don't know about ND but in the south she is going to carry a butt whooping,
she would get her "trick" for Halloween!
I work/ intern at a lab where I constantly hear how fat is bad. How fat
cell organelles are like fat americans who cannot climb stairs and needs an
escalator! At my age I can filter out the negativity. A young child will
not be able to and he or she should have encouragement to be active not
shamed for not being thin!! Well, some people will never get it.
Wow! If someone has such a strong opinion against obese children eating
candy, then she should have given out healthy treats. Not all pre-packed
treats are candy. We spend more money on our treats and give out peanut
free granola bars. Mind you their cholate chip ... LOL She's a crazy woman,
glad she doesn't live in my town.
She doesn't have to leave her porch light on. She doesn't have to
participate in Halloween. If I was a parent whose child came home with that
letter I would BLOW UP! My child is none of her business! "a whole
village?" to hurt a child. Where are my raw eggs? Where does she live? She
needs a good lesson!
How the testosterone going ? I can see a bit if a difference mainly how
your speaking with more congruency and matter of fact. I hope you continue
expressing yourself hopefully your busting your ass harder than hard in
your cardio and weights because you don't want to waste the good bennifits .
Hi kalif ! Honestly I think the lady is an attention whore with a
personality problem . Most people just tell their kids to ignore a nut like
this . It would anger me but really who the hell goes out of their way to
hurt a child on purpose ? Only an abuser does this and brags !
I feel it wasn't her place to make that kind of judgement. She did it
backwards. If she was concerned, she could have used it in a positive way.
Such as creating a community program to help educate parents and children
on proper nutrition. Or volunteering at a youth camp.
How does negative reinforcement work for you? Enough said. I had some
lovely larger kids last night who enjoyed Halloween so much and I enjoyed
them coming to my home. I am not a parent but I can say if I got that
letter, I would be paying the author a visit.
I completely agree with you. There is no way that people are going to take
this well, and it is just going to cause damage both to her relationships
with the other parents and possibly the children if some of them decide to
open the letter.
I definitely think she went about this the wrong way. I didn't even think
about her striving for attention, but she did release a copy of the letter
to the media and I know she did an interview.
That is singling that child out and if they are in a group that will do far
more damage mentally then it will help physically. It needs to be done in a
loving subtle way shame will never work!
A child's weight shouldn't play a part in such a manner, she's entitled to
her opinion but I think she's going to an extreme really, being an extra
bit of a bitch for no reason...
I would feel deeply offended and go to the women's house to tell her how
some kids around 10 years old would understand what it was but may feel
less confident in theirself.
Yeah, I don't think this was the right approach at all. No parent is going
to respond to this in a positive way, and some of them may have moved to ND
from the south ;-)
I honestly think she has good intentions behind this, however, she could
have found a better way to spread awareness rather than singling out
individual kids.
I definitely wish she would have used a different approach with this. Maybe
starting a program to get the parents and kids interested in fitness &
nutrition.
Good point. Many of these kids won't be able to positively process her
message and I'm sure they will read the letter before giving it to their
parents.
thats a really messed up thing to do and if my child recieved it i would be
beyond pissed...
FGSW - Are You Abusing Healthy Foods?
How to determine your daily calorie needs: //fatguyskinnywallet.com/how-i-determined-my-daily-calorie-intake-by-using-a-calculator/ The best way to track ...
LOL, right when you said not tracking a handful of almonds...That was one
of my biggest issues before I got right. I would always opt for nuts
instead of potato chips, which is a good choice, however I would eat way
more than one handful of almonds, and those things are packed with
calories, nutrients as well, but after eating 6 or 7 handfuls of my healthy
alternative to chips, I did way more harm than good. This was an excellent
video Khaleef.
Well I don't over indulge on healthy foods did you know we need 7 cups of
green leafy veggie a day over 7 cups is too much got this from dr eric
berg. I personally don't count calories this is how I do protein, size of
palm, 4 cups of veggie, and if I add complex carb 1/2 cup only. This raw
foodist eat abt 3000 calories a day she is slim as a stick I guess cause
the calories are nutrients dense have a great day.
I think that as long as you have guidelines such as that, and you have been
doing it for a while, you can tell if you are eating in a surplus, deficit,
or maintenance. It sounds like you have a good system in place. I
definitely can see someone being thin and maintaining their weight on 3,000
calories. Outside of the weight loss community, that isn't really a lot for
an active individual. :)
Khaleef, good video and thoughts.. I still weigh my nuts and watch my
portions. I am 3 yrs in now and i dont track everything... Sometimes.. I do
a 3 day tracking and then i go over that with my trainer and tweak from
there. I eat very well and somedays i do eat more of the good things.. i
dont count my veggies.. Hope u have a great week.. xo TINA
I dont count calories or track my food daily. However, I do know how many
servings of vegetables, how many fruits, I want to have each day - and I
plan accordingly. With things that are high in fat, like nuts, I know how
much I can have per week, and if I try to rationalize consuming more than
that, well, I know I have to pay for it on the scale.
oh amen Khaleef! You are so right , about measuring and tracking . I'm not
sure for me about the deficit so much it is what foods we put in ., some
foods seem to be healthy but cause gain for some people . there are so many
factors .. The tracking is so key our mind sure plays games with us doesn't
it .. Have a great week
Do you think your eating is limited enough so that you could capture it all
in a 3-day period? I know you eat a lot of fats (like me since we know how
healthy fat really is) and they can add up so quickly. How do you manage to
avoid having calories "sneak up" on you without tracking? You have a
wonderful week as well! :-)
That's the thing, most of us skip the calorie and tracking part and then
just jump right to cutting things out. I say, get the basics down and then
do the fine tuning by focusing on the details. I definitely think our minds
can play games with us when we are convinced that we are eating healthy. :-)
I worry about calories for all dairy, processed foods, meats, oils - good
or bad, grains, nuts etc. Only thing I don't worry about is green veggies -
raw or plain (and carrots). I just need to stay on track. I've lost my
focus since last fall. Great video hun! :)
Great video! Very good points, especially about the oils! It's very easy to
forget to calculate in those calories. I've always had trouble tracking
diligently, but it's worth another try! Thanks for the encouragement.
Very true and a great reminder to go back to those basics of tracking
EVERYTHING, I think a lot of people do this with fruit too but the oil is
one that gets by a lot of us! Thanks! :D Susan
I agree that controlling the amount of ALL types of foods we eat is
essential. I weigh my food to this day--well into maintenance. I eat so
much of each food group. Have a great day. Mark
I think it's great to have a plan like that, because it does cause you to
pay attention to not only the types of food, but also the quantity (even of
healthy items).
Very good reminder. It is so important to count all those little items that
get thrown in. Nuts always get me! A little here a little there adds up
quick! Brooke
I'm obsessed with tracking. I kind of love knowing I'm totally accurate
with the amount of food that is going into my body. I think I'm OCD.
Seriously...
I think that's good. We should be very careful about what we put in. How
can we know where we are going off if we refuse to keep track of what we
put in?
Exercise-Induced Compartment Syndrome - at least it has a name that I can understand and pronounce! Although, I'm not happy about that or the stress fracture ...
Hey man just found your channel and subbed to you. I'm new to the fitness
youtube channels haha. Idk you personally but I would like to say that I
hope you heal quick and I hope you keep going at the gym even when you
can't do certain things!
Man those are some crazy set backs but sounds like very good advice from a
sports doctor. I definitely feel a lot more vulnerable in my 30's compared
to my 20's when it comes to injury!
Praying for your speedy recovery. I understand workout injuries because I
recently found out I have two torn ligaments in my ankle. I knew my ankle
was injured but I didn't know it was that serious. Be blessed & live
#Amazingly.
+FatGuySkinnyWallet My podiatrist is trying to get me to have surgery but I don't know about that because I'm not sure how I will be able to get around with crutches and a cast for 6 weeks. Right now I'm wearing a leg CAM (it's a boot that keeps my ankle still and supported). If this leg boot doesn't work then I guess I'll be going to surgery. Yikes! Be blessed & live #Amazingly.
Ohhhhh Man!!! That's not cool!!! Compartment syndrome is no joke but
neither is the stress fracture... you hang in there and don't (be
hardheaded) lol... love ya!!! Sending prayers for spending recovery and
little to non pain!!!
Yeah, every state does it except us and Oregon. I consider it to be a luxury lol. Yes, the midwestern states are very expensive! I don't get it...I guess it costs a lot to drive around all that corn lol
about 90% of our gas stations are self serve here. some of them even leave
the pumps on at night and only let you pay with credit card or atm ... so
they dont even need a sales attendant at all!
$3.50 is good for gas ours is like lowest 3.65 Lol . We feel
Like we hit the jackpot .. You trying to make us feel bad ? Lol
We modern women do a lot more than pump gas we pay for it ourselves too lol
Wow...we paid $2.90 something yesterday. I hope all of our prices go down! Haha...modern women should still have an attendant pumping for them ;-)
