HI, P0300-random misfire codes reason : spark plugs, vacuum leak , dirty fuel, wire head negative points, low compression , some times car battery.Shout me when you find .

I too was surprised by first turn and it immediatley caught and ran.My
second surprise was how long you ran the engine with out coolant for the
cylinder head or block,..I was sitting and watching the video clip and
mentally cringing thinking of heat transference with no coolant to help.One
question;..besides new points,plugs, and carburettor tinkering;did you
check or change the engine oil?I was thinking years of sitting the engine
oil would have sludged up plus there would be water from years of
condesation from temperature changes.Same with the transmission,no drive
shaft and any oil would have leaked out.Are you planning on a rebuild and
into a car?..."Boomer"...

Hi Noel, Thanks for your reply, there was coolant in the block and fresh oil in the engine and I cranked it long enough to circulate. I only run it for the length of the video so it did not get chance to overheat.It is now in my Cresta and running great, I had to change the sump pan so gave the engine a good flush out but it was in great shape inside I also converted it to manual G/Box at the same time.Will post an update video when I get chance.ThanksDave
