Food for thought: Anyone who doesn't intend to vote in the coming US elections should perhaps reconsider and vote for the Green Party candidate, Jill Stein. This way your vote will actually be counted as a no confidence vote for either of the two main parties instead of disappearing into thin air. Another benefit would be that if they get enough votes in this election, they will gain momentum towards future elections. In the past 3 elections in my country the Greens have gone from 5 to 7 to 11%.

It's a shame that anyone who claims to be a progressive would vote for Obama instead of Jill Stein. Obama and Romney are no different from each other in the long run. Both will continue to campaign like they stand with the American people, but once they get elected/reelected, they will continue to bow to and serve the special interests who really run the show.

To vote for one of the two mainstream, decidedly evil candidates is to abdicate the minimal semblance of democracy allowed in the US. At least voting for someone like Stein is actually voting significantly more in line with your interests. Though to me, the only solution is to completely reject hierarchy altogether.

Ron Paul has a history of being and supporting Bigots. Anyone supporting him is a bigot and trying to keep it alive. The Green Party is a 3rd party but no serious contender, I don't forsee myself supporting anyone in the green for Federal office, state maybe.

But most of us can't afford that luxury in this government because we can't risk "throwing a vote away" and giving Romney a better chance. If she could get to the nationally televised debates, I would vote for her. Hopefully next election!

If you say there is no difference between Obama and Romney you absent minded. Romney for healthcare for all and Romney isn't, he's for those that can afford it. Are they both backed by rich people of course, but so isn't the green party.

I for one refuse to be held hostage by this pro-Obama mindset. If he thinks he can win the re-election based only on ideas like "It's either me or Romney, so be careful!", he can frankly go fuck himself.

+Lee Johnson Regardless of personal feelings for Trump, US history makes it looks like it's hard for anyone with no political experience to win. Ross Perot got some votes, but never had a serious chance. And the idea that "most" as you state is far from the truth. He was never considered a serious candidate. Which is the point, even Fox, the conservative station did not treat him seriously. He took a big dive in numbers this week. Also in a general election, likely he will lose, but of course, never know what will happen 100%.
