In 2012, I set out to map every journey that I took on foot in London. Every day that I had walked down a different street, I drew it on a map and photographed it.

You should all hear her cover of "Belfast Child" for the new movie Exodus
Gods and Kings. The song is partly featured in the trailer #1 just
released. You can find the full song on the net.

Bullshit. I love many artists some of whose songs I don't like, and I feel
perfectly free to say so. That's like saying you only love a relative if
you approve of every thing you do. No, you don't have to do that. A "true
fan" in my opinion would, if anything, be someone who supports their band's
efforts to try new things without instantly bawling about how they've sold
out and now they suck. But they don't have to enthusiastically claim they
never do anything wrong if that's not the case.
The thing I like most about this song is how it reminds me of when the
alien band in Interstella 5555 is kidnapped and is forced to perform on
Earth. It's painful for them to do so, but they have to because that's what
the world sees them as (as well as them being mind-controlled). The song
has this trudging pace that seems almost spiteful towards the Olympics and
the current state of international affairs. It's like they're openly
mocking the fact that they "have" to do this song.
I just cant understand the bad comments about this song. Some say it sounds
like a rip-off of Queen and that it's too over the top. I say that this is
a VERY complex song that mixes symphonic rock with metal riffs here and
there. And in case you didnt know, these genres ARE over the top and epic-
with orchestras and operatic singers. Muse did an excellent job here. Dont
see where they 'messed up'.
Well maybe this isnt what some of you emo hardcore fans expect from muse,
but saying this is a bad song just makes you look plain retarded. As a
lover of good music i love Muse and am a big fan of them. This may be
different but musically it is actually one of their best songs to date.
Just sheer brilliance and if you fail to see that it I cant do anything but
feel bad for you.
Ah, the typical "no true Scotsman" argument. In my eyes, a true fan is one
who is honest about what they like and dislike in a band, and is ready to
make criticism and praise where criticism and praise is due. The only
qualification for being a 'true fan' is that they enjoy the band and want
to continually enjoy them - but ready to admit fault if need be.
@ajnut hmm yeah its clear youre just a hater since none of the things you
stated are actually true in any way... To say that usoe is terrible...
Comparing Guiding Light to anything even... Saying Unnatural selection is
comparable to New Born in any way? Haha mate you have got to be a hater or
just plain retarded
This is definitely my favorite of the three new songs.. I'm not too huge on
the dubstep in the other two (just not my thing, personally). This has that
epic feel that I love about Muse songs, and I, personally hope that the
majority of the album is more so like this song than Unsustainable and
Madness.
Thanks...I always liked ELO, but I could never put them in the same
category with the Beatles. They were always fun and entertaining, and had
an obviously derivative quality, showing admiration (or naive parody) of
the Beatles. I feel the same about Muse and Radiohead.
I don't think either songs are particularly bad, this song has amazing use
of guitar and choir vocals, but I like how with Neutron Star Collision they
were like "No no, we don't want some soppy name, let's just call it.......
Yes! I got it! Neutron Star Collision!"
stop with the queen comparisons please! I don't know who started that
argument queen/muse but it has to stop! I bet it was some idiot
interviewer. Really, I couldn't give any less fucks about finding some
queen references on this or ANY song by Muse.
Contains nearly every facet of rock. At once a melodic, heavy metal,
operatic masterpiece! Matt Bellamy the finest lead vocalist since Freddy
Mercury and Michael Hutchence. And, as a rock band, Muse stands alone in
todays music scene!
Are you fucking serious? People are comparing Matthew Bellamy with Freddie
Mercury? This is a fucken joke. Can't believe this youth would even compare
them. He is good but no Mercury.
Matthew is nothing close to Freddie! Matthew is Matthew and he's an amazing
musician but he cannot be compared to the perfection that was Freddie
Mercury! That's atleast my opinion
@oylerck I agree. Plus, there are a lot of operatic singers in metal and in
rock music- especially in symphonic rock and symphonic metal. People have
to educate themselves.
@kmvoss It's not about taste if someone says the musical quality is bad.
Iff he just said I don't like it then I would not have taken any time to
argue trust me.
It's interesting to note that the 93 negatives cited here are people with
over-critical spirits and, I guarantee you, absolutely no musical talent.
Great song!!
