+Hate the haters | In the video he says a few things about it compared to the 918, they are as follows:"the 918 can go from 0-190 faster than they veyron""if you were in a veyron [chasing this car (the 918)] you would fall off in two corners"and where he says "this is the worlds fastest car" any sane person would presume he's talking about corners combined with straights -which is also why he tells you it's nurb time of 6 minutes and 57 seconds. Although I do agree that some of the best looking cars (in my opinion) are these Mercedes' and BMW's, the competing hypercars (Huayra, Agera R, P1, 918, La Ferrai) all look eons better than the dated design of the Veyron. The whole selling factor of vehicle with such a price tag would be it's looks over all other things. When they revealed the hypers that I mention earlier, people who could afford them (and pre-ordered them) wouldn't know how fast they actually were to at least a few months later. So yet another useless point. That's strike two for you and the Veyron.On a final note, you say the Veyron is king, but what car has the faster nurb time.

+Hate the haters | Have fun getting to that top speed on a track, or anywhere for that matter. What use is straight line speed anyway, you might as well buy a muscle car if that's all you care about. Like whats his face said anyways, the 918 is faster to 190 mph, so it has more usable speed too, plus it just looks better. imo the Veyron has a very ugly face and overall design features, and we've all heard that the Hennessy Venom will top out at 275, so your point is as useless as the car you so admire.
agera is 600lbs lighter and technologically behind in comparison to the 918. agera wins in a straight line, but i dont drive straight lines, i drive on roads.
What Bugatti did to build the Veyron:
Took an oval
Put wheels on it
Put tail lights on that look like pokéballs
Put on headlights that look like rectangles
Put an engine on it with as much crap as it can to increase horsepower
Revved it and liked the sound (even though it sounds like someone taking a
shit)
Put it on a track for top speed
When I loaded this video it said 9:18 and I lauded your comment but now it says 9:17, many reloads. The Porsche 917 is legendary. What is going on here?
What the hell is wrong with you people? Who cares if the Bugatti run 400
km/h? There's no rational reason for a car to drive 400, because it's
totally useless. And who cares if the 918 has an almost equal acceleration
than a GTR and is much more expensive? That's not what the Porsche's meant
to be. The Porsche 918 right now is simply the best car in the world.
There's no competitor, who can keep up in the total package. It is built
for the track, and no other street car on the planet can beat the 918 in
dynamics and handling, although the P1 and LaFerarri do pretty good jobs as
well. The lap time on Nordschleife says everything. And you won't find the
Bugatti or GTR anywhere near that.

A car can easily become street legal, just ask the Ferrari FXX's owners who made their car street legal. +K0lbstar Zonda R humiliates 918 and it's not even AWD. Now what would LaFerrari do to 918. Porsche built and developed the 918 around the ring for years an years, no surprise it laps it fast. Unfortunately there is no trophy for lapping the ring, I'd very much like to see how fast 918 lapz Monza, Spa, Silverstone.... vs LaFerrari and P1, and for how many laps it can preserves its tyres.
There is a point to drive the car that fast. If you are on salt flats or on VW track (which is the only track capable of reaching that speed). Other than that then there is none but bragging rights for men with small dicks.
Then why any of it? why you ask? because supercars are fucking awesome and push the limits of whats possible. There is no logical justification for even a BMW m3.. say. We could all drive around in Toyota Camry's just fine, but it's not about that
+Romi Buzz Tyre choice and suspension settings. They did multiple runs with different settings. As you point out, the Weissach package only reduced the Porsche time by 3 seconds.

+Flin Cabagnot Well the handling of the GTR in that run had been specifically modulated for that track, while the Porsche had a standard race package. It would seem that the NISMO engineers themselves didn't think the standard NISMO package had good enough handling. No doubt when they inevitably make the GTR a hybrid we will have a better view of the dissociation between power and handling.
The GT-R is actually the fourth fastest while the 918 Spyder is third fastest in the Nurburgring. I'd say the GT-R is pretty close.
