2 things...headbanging isnt much stage presence. i was in a death metal band and i did everything, stood on my drummers set and all kinda of shit, no the grind core band im in now i can do more, stage dive, you name it...i'v done it...the other thing...do you see an audience in front of him, no..so theres no much reason for him to act all crazy in front of a camera for an audition..you dont jump around and crowd surf at practice..you dont know shit and your prob not in a band /=

@tomsmith395 u usually think everyone sucks? you are an elitist? I think this guy is great at guitar, but you shouldnt put down people who havent played as long or sucks by your opinion. We all have things we need to work on and im sure you have your weak spots that a certain percent of people look at you and laugh there asses off at.... try to flip your guitar over and play left handed. now you see what its like to start over again?? guitar is hard to master.

I can believe that. Some commercial bands are appalling in that respect. I wanted to join a local metal band and they didn't actually even know what they were playing. They didn't realise that any note on a guitar's neck occurs more than once across all the strings ("you worked it out wrong, you have to play the note at fret 9 or the third string".) Their idea of rehearsal was practicing headbanging synchronisation haha!

What is the point of playing then if you have no stage presence. If you don't interact with the crowd then you will be boring. Nobody wants to go see a bunch of guys with guitars standing around. In my death metal band I headbang all the time, and I play my songs fine. It just depends on how well you know your own songs.

@nogo427 and @EmoKiIIer - Whenever I auditioned for Mutiny Within of Roadrunner Records, I got the spot, but was actually asked to send a second video of me headbanging while playing. The record label said, "we really don't care if the guy can play we just want him to look metal, and headbang on stage" I was shocked lol.

To all the people disliking In Flames; Are you fucking kidding me?! In flames was amazing, you can't possibly say the Whoracle wasn't good. Sure, they've turned to shit now, but their old stuff was insane so shut the fuck up. Proof: Look up In Flames Live Koln and watch at least 3 of their songs before jizzing.

in flames are definitely pussies cause they contributed to the creation of metalcore. but honestly headbanging on stage is very stupid, cause it takes away your focus. im in a band and when i headbang on stage i play worse. but the audience should be headbanging at all times haha.

I get what you are saying about other antics like stage diving, but the second part of your comment makes no sense. I wasn't talking about him headbanging at all. You don't headbang in an audition, and I never said that you should.

when i go see a band live im not there to see them headbang, im there to hear my favourite songs played right in front of me, ten times as loud and ten times more energetic. it doesnt matter how crazy they are going.
