Let us all stop arguing whether you are Christian or Atheists. I'm a very devoted Catholic but I would absolutely never tell anyone how to live their lives. If you want to not believe in God himself by all means please do as you wish. It is not in my power to try to make you believe in God, But please do not say anything offensive about Christians or god in general. Maybe this story is fiction but for me and Jewish people and many religions see this story as the beginning of a great leader. As for why God is depicted as evil, Well the old testament had a bunch of scary tales like Daniel in the lions den, The story of Sodom and Ester. Hell, even the new testament had some depressing stories like Jesus being nailed and whipped to a cross, The massacre of the innocents from Herod when he ordered all male children slaughtered to prevent a prophecy of a jew king to be born in Bethlehem You can choose and it is your choice to believe in God or not. But please be respectful. Actually if it all makes you feel better I like atheists they have their belief in which is more scientific and I understand completely that the world wasn't created in 7 days It took 70 trillion years to be created. I think God himself created evolution Anyways just thought of sharing my train of thought

.....probably leprosy and open running sores. Egypt's god and goddess of rain and lightening “Shu” was out of control by God’s command … hail and fire raining upon Egypt destroying their crops! Egypt’s locust god “Serapia” couldn’t save their crops from the hoards of locusts. Egypt's sun god “Ra” was turned to darkness ... he was no match for God here! Finally Pharaoh and his first born son who both were considered gods would find they too were no match for the God of Israel!

@EpicAthiest The existence of God can be proven if you seek his existence. He has shown Himself to me an I saw Him. Not with my eyes but with my heart. And you know its the Almighty God b/c its the strongest feeling you ever will feel. ITS UNEXPLAINABLE b/c it's supernatural and its something each and every person has to see for themselves. U cant learn to see Him nor can anyone announce his presents in u. God reviles Himself to those who seek with all their hearts and thats when He shows up.

Christianity helped a lot people around the world. It teaches to help the poor and the lame. In the story of Moses, The first born son might all be wicked. In the story of Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham pleaded with God to spare the cities. God said that if there ten righteous people in the cities he would spare the cities so Abraham and God's angels went to the city and they demanded that the angels so that they can rape them. They cities were completely wicked and God indeed destroyed the cities

As a believer let me tell you how this story of Moses worked 4 me. MY daughter Melissa on 9/21/2008 was hospitalized at Columbia Presbyterian Hosp. Both her lungs were busted and would not stop bleeding. She was given a 1 hr to live she regurgitated blood out her mouth were she lost all her platelets.( This is one of many thing God did). I remember this story and prayed God in the supernatural the same way you open and closed the red sea for Moses. Close my daughter's lungs from bleeding cont

Wow, this sure was a sanitized version! He left out the most important act of god. He didn't mention that god hardened pharaoh's heart . all so that he. the War god Yahweh, could show off his power. This would be the 1st in a long list of stories where god kills the innocent for someone else's..."crimes." What did the 1st born do that they should deserve such a fate? If some tells me they submit to, and love this bible god, then I know they haven't studied scripture, or especially Judaism.

It's unfortunate you haven't yet realized the similarities between Santa and God. Experiences have no bearing on the existence of God. You may want Santa to exist, but the truth is the truth whether we like it or not. Based on the principle of falsifiability, it takes only 1 mistake in the bible to throw out the entire thing because this single mistake would show that (the supposed) God is indeed not omnipotent. If you are a Christian, you MUST believe the Earth is 6000 years old.

I'm truly sorry you don't believe, Sadly, the god of this system of things has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, and as for science and archaeology they (Have) Proved one thing after the other in relation to the Bible. Its easy to deny the truth, all you have to do is believe the lie, and there are plenty of lies regarding what happened, if you look in the right places, the evidence is everywhere, but that takes faith. Ahhh, TiminPhoenix. First of all, no "belief system" is immune from criticism. Not Christianity, not any other religion and not my own which is Pagan. Any belief system that condones the slaughter of children is going to be criticized, obviously. There was no valid excuse for the last plague that the Christian God sent upon Egypt. There is never any excuse for killing children. ANY! If you want to step on up and defend the slaughter of kids, then that speaks volumes about you.

What motivates me to grow in the deeper levels of spiritual realm of the Power of the Holy Spirit, is the image of Jesus,my Lord,as He hung on the cross dying for me. Why? If a book says I can sell my daughter and torture my slave and that I have to kill someone if they are gay I shouldn't question the veracity of the BOOK in question? Do you even think about this stuff, or do you just accept what the guy that takes your money every sunday says? @EpicAthiest Sorry to hear that. Unfortunately u must have had an awful experience and blamed God. Or U probable. were forced to go church and never knew him. I remember one time the Pastor of the church telling me. He hoped I fall down and break my neck. I was a young Christian months of being saved at the tender age of 22 yrs old. Many things passed through my mind. However, ultimately I could not shake off my own personal experience with God. So i choose to let it go.

Are you joking? If I didn't believe God doesn't exists I would openly denounce him. I have never seriously blamed anything on God, I would have to be a lunatic to blame anything on an invisible cloud man. It amazes me that people choose to believe a book written in the bronze age by people with very limited knowledge over accurate, testable and reliable science. Please look at both sides of the argument before you blindly decide to believe nonsensical fairy tales.

@Godbtheglory1 which he saith shall come to pass: he shall have a whatsoever he saith. Therefore i day unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that aye receive them, and ye shall have them. When i pray, i believe i receive.This was a 2 1/2 process in the ICU. I did not waiver in my faith and believed God for restoration. Drs call it miraculous. My daughter's lungs are fully restored Hallelujah. Glory to the almighty God. God is real.

That's odd, when you consider all the other verses in both the old an new testament that make it quite clear that you can own chattel slaves as well as beat and torture them while they just take it like good slaves. BTW, that verse says nothing BAD about slavery, it just says you are CHRIST'S SLAVE and that you were BOUGHT at a price. That's not the first time the new testament uses slavery in a favorable light as an analogy to your relatioship with God.

Respond to this video... Exactly today, two yrs ago my daughter came home from the Hospital. 12/31/2008.( Where in the natural she had no hope. In the supernatural there was healing and victory). Hours before the New Years Eve. She was home to get ready for a new beginning. So, today I will give my Lord many praises then I normally so and express my gratitude. This is one of my awesome experiencing with God. Because He is true to His word.

I just recieved the Holy Ghost this Tuesday. That next night after church (I had it all week because it was Youth Camp) I was drunk on the Holy Spirit. So was one of my friends. He said it was WAY better than earthly drugs (and I knew it was,even though I hadn't eperienced them) because he had experienced both. We were both just so happy and carefree,but we could both think clear as could be. Like we both say, "Ain't no high like a Jesus high!"

My best friend a North Georgia police officer receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit in his police car as he was praying on phone with a nother police officer a baptist minister, 5 days later he got the revelation of the mighty God in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, we had a very hard time finding someone to baptize him in Jesus name!
