Seeing that vandalized statue with the cored out penis just makes me sick
to my stomach...people get very upset when its groups such as ISIL or the
Taliban (as do i) but thinking of all the culture, art, history we have
lost because of Christians like Diego de Landa, Christopher Columbus or
even present day Christian groups who censor art and burn books...shameful!
A few definitions that might help with that little essay:The Church or Established Church - that is the Church organizations that profit from the spread of the Christian Message (The Faith as they discern it from their interpretation of the Bible) and Their Specific Forms of Practicing that Message (ie Religion or Religious Practices; proofing of adherents beliefs and form of practice)The Teachings of Jesus: Those specific Teachings of the Rabbi Jesus, written in the four Gospels and and attested there in. From Sermons, Stories or Miracles, etc. that instruct his followers how to live a life without The Jewish Law's oppressive demands of faith and religious practices.Sadly, too many people confuse religious practice and belief in that practice, with The Faith in God and how to express that faith in their humanity, that Jesus taught through his teachings. No, you are right in that your religious practices may not be the same as those of the Catholics, and you may not, depending on the denomination you adhere to, believe that Jesus is the same as them. But the fundamental belief in Jesus, whether as God/God's Son/Messiah - Christ/Part of the Trinity, in some way or another is the basis of all Christian Denominations, it is just the different theological interpretations of the Biblical Texts that make you different from them, aside from how you practice your religion.Religious Denominationalism is a form of crowd control, once the numbers of adherents reaches a tipping point where one pastor or priest is unable to bring order into being within the church group. I'm 68 and have seen this happen time and time again in my almost 42 years as a practicing Christian, to the point that I now would rather practice my faith in private while at home or in my community. The Gospel / God news is so simple that even a Child of any age able to read can attain it without indoctrination. Yet we still seem to require mega church organization and huge sums of money channelled into them, to hold the faithful together.I once had a vision, while I worked in a mega church as an office clerk. It was a 30 minute morning meeting, with music by guitar, and violin, and a singer... I was sitting on the floor and I saw as in a dream, a woman, with long flowing hair, move toward an alter, with a bunch of long stem flowers clutched to her chest. As she bent to put the flowers on the alter, a rainbow sprang out of the base of the alter and wrapped around her. My interpretation is that this was THE Church, and presenting her flowers to God and his protection of her with his rainbow...I believe there is a Church that is outside the organized churches, and it is that which is holy to God. There are no denominations, and no specific religious practices or orders of worship. It is the salt of the earth and is here for the our world's future prosperity and existence. When I hear of the wars and pestilence that sweeps across the planet, I am comforted by the knowledge that this church exists in secret and does it's work in secret. For if it were known, it would be crushed by the powers that want to dominate the planet.sorry for running at the mouth ;-) peace and God's blessings... There are many ways to say that.. A'ho - native American, nameste - Hindu or Buddhism, shalom - nothing missing, nothing broken or peace be with you, jewish... and all are expressions of The Church...
+Megan Luck no, they found other reasons.... and while that is a little humour, very little at that... it has a core of truth in it... Christian Sects over the last 2,000 years have found lots of religious reasons to suppress heretics and their cultures, from the early Coptic's and Bishop Arius' followers, to those that were followers of Mary Magdalene (she wrote a gospel)... right up to the Wars of Religion in the 16-18th Century Europe, not forgetting the Spanish Inquisition and other joyful Christian practices, such as burning witches and other pagans, and torturing, pillaging and raping infidels while on Crusade to free the Holy Land, as if God needed their help... The Church has fought and still fights, tooth and nail against anything that tries to take it's pre-eminence away and supplant it with truths of faith from it's own book... which itself is only a shadow of the books that were written after 33 ad to 325 ad... and I do not speak just about the Catholic Church and it's history... every denomination and sect has in some way turned away from the core teachings of their ostensible leader, Christ Jesus, the Messiah... and I say this as one who was a Christian from age 26 to 60, even going so far as to work in Ministry... The Established Church has lost it's way and has become irrelevant to the modern man, and that is sad, because The Teachings of Jesus are still relevant today... just not in the "religious orthodoxy" that is a pale shadow of the "Faith" that was...

Jeff's music is so atmospheric and haunting and really conjures up images
of Ancient Egypt. Jeff kindly allowed us to add his music to our Nile
Cruise Guide which was gracious of him and I think the video only helps to
augment the feel of his wonderful music.
Yes, of course. When a new edition of the video is posted, that will be
corrected. The pyramids of the New World civilizations, especially from the
Mayan epoch, are spectacular and awesome. Thanks for making the good
observation.
Wonderfull!
Isis is the Mistress of all of the 330 Pyramids worldwide, as they are all
made in Her image as representative of the Temple of Divinity, which is our
bodies and the ALL.
I don't have an mp3 player or even much computer savvy, but I ardently wish
