Hey Retro, I have a 15 ram. I installed a led lightbulb kit with resistors because i was getting a bulb out error. Now the lights turn off once i start driving. Is there something new with the canbus with 15 rams? really want to figure this out thanks!

+Joshua Revisa the 15s are a totally different animal. They need to see the right amount of resistance and capacitance to run.....and not turn off intermittently. On the LED lghts....we haven't used a set in a 15 yet, as honestely - HID will give you better output overall.

+Eric Wolf I have no clue what is needed from them......never heard of that vendor.  Wish I could say with certainty, but I just don't know their product or what is needed of them to work correctly.

The vendor is Kelvin and now that I look at the ballast they say digital canbus.

no, and in fact.......we have changed up our kits a bit - we typically use our canbus adapters vs this full harness.  MUCH easier install....and you can use them on the fogs too!

I really want to swap my 99 silverado to a cummins 4bt. But after seeing many of these videos, I think I'll save and just buy a cummins....

I thought about a 4bt myself, but a 4 cyl is not a balanced engine configuration like an inline 6 or crossplane v8. The 4bt would shake the hell out of the truck. And with firing impulses every 180 degrees vs 120 or 90, it is much harder on the driveline for the same hp level as a 6 or 8 cyl motor, unless you use an extremely heavy (like 90lb) flywheel.Buying a dodge with the cummins in it is definitely the way to go, vs re-engineering and entire vehicle yourself.
