No, the 4.6L it's the smaller V8 option of this model year rather than the 5.6L V8. Newer models have 4.6/5.0/5.4L options for v8's

How did the Roxul wool fare in the long run?

Not too bad actually. One thing I would recommend is having the actual muffler packing wrapped on the outside of the roxul. The wire wrap I used didn't hold it very secure to the perforated core.
