This is the before video of my Jeep taken about two months ago. This is what it sounds like. 4.2 L6 with dual headers. I'll post the after video when it's out of the ...
Head gasket leak. While the engine is cold, remove the radiator cap and
start it up. It may take until the engine warms up and the thermostat
opens, but if you look into the radiator and see bubbles, this is almost a
sure sign of a head gasket leak. The other, more scary issue, would be a
crack in the water jacket that protrudes into the cylinder. Either way, I
would run a cylinder leak down test on the first 3 cylinders. Hope this
helps :p

So you DON'T have actual headers but the original exhaust manifolds? I have
a 96 with the 5.2 that runs like new and was thinking of headers but
between headers, cat and exhaust it's about 1500,00 and a lot of work-- who
did your exhaust as i live on the Island? I have a transfer case from
George== TCU in Lindenhurst-- is your shop near his? thanks
Sorry I was so excited to get this uploaded I just recorded it and posted
it up. I'm making a driving around video and 0-60 currently which will
consist of all the good music and better video compilation. Thanks for
following my vids!
Well straight pipes always cost less than adding cats or mufflers because
it's less welding. I spent $200 for the Magnaflow Items direct from their
site and $500 for the exhaust shop to weld everything custom
No CEL. I put the front O2 sensor in the middle of the X-pipe for an
accurate reading of both headers' exhaust gases and put the rear O2 about 2
feet behind the front
