The Truth About Edward Snowden | Glenn Greenwald on "Glenn Beck Radio Program"
What are some major misconceptions about Edward Snowden? Glenn Greenwald joins Glenn Beck to discuss. Watch the full interview from this episode of the ...
You posed a question, it has an answer. Snowden attempted to go to South America; the US revoked his passport; preventing him from flying there. Do you have substance to refute this or are you just being emotionally fragile around the issue?
+Brian Bivins Nah I think Alex Jones is a right-wing christian nutjob but at least he's never advocate for putting government critics in some sort of prison camps.Only fascist fucks like you would think it would be a good idea to give the government such power. Go play in traffic.
+Brian Bivins Nope there was no news story naming any supposed troops he got killed you government cock sucker. It's fascists fucks like you that are a threat to American citizens everywhere. You would be the type to support Obama setting up a government camp to put all his "radical critics" in a prison camps cause you love giving big authoritarian governments a blowjob. You probably foaming at the mouth right ready for Obama's BBC in your ass knowing that he's expanding the NSA agency that's spying on all American citizens. Sick fuck.
+Brian Bivins Lets get this straight, you're communicating a threat to someone's life over the internet and you can't even cite the story that you claim to have read that soldiers were killed do to Snowden uncovering NSA spying on U.S. citizens and foreign leaders.... Are you perhaps mixing stories with Bradley Manning or something or someone else? They don't grow them too bright out there in Centralia WA do they, don't make assumptions.
+Spiff The Magnificent He is being treated like a true whistleblower though; with aggression and demonization from the state. A measurement of how much of an actual whistleblower you are inside of an out-of-control government is determined by how much that government wants you locked up forever. Matter of fact I would of been very suspicious of Ed Snowden if the US government welcomed him with open-arms.
+Joe Barnas We get so upset with the Leftists and their "no evidence to support a conclusion" and yet here's a perfect example of it in either Stu or Pat I don't know which is which. He has absolutely zero evidence to support his position but he stands by it regardless, there is no evidence to support Snowden having provided any information to the Russians but he's made up his mind. Snowden in many people's opinion is the textbook definition of a Whistle Blower and should be treated as such.
+PeterBluth You may be right. But that doesn't mean the public doesn't have a right to know. Most people won't do anything with most information out there but that's not a good argument for state secrecy and spying.
Maybe, but what good does it do? We won't do anything with the information. And, if we're honest with ourselves, we'd recognize that privacy in the digital age is one of those things that's not even a real thing.
+Zappy Zap No he isn't. He's just a foolish man who thought that doing the right thing would amount to something. Think about it, two years later, what has changed? Absolutely nothing! Should I be grateful Snowden told me what I already knew? I don't think so.
Edward Snowden comments on Bill C-51 and Canadian liberties
Whistleblower Edward Snowden took part in a teleconferenced discussion hosted by the CJFE and Ryerson School of Journalism, To read the full story: ...
Tom Mulcair is the only one who stands against C-51. I don't care about the
other issues really, they're just distractions as far as I'm concerned.
This is the biggest threat to our democracy in Canadian history. If you
vote Harper or Trudeau, just remember you VOTED for your enslavement!
+eastsidebeastkidx Trudeau didn't have to vote for it. Mulcair campaigned on repealing it; Trudeau played the corporate liberal card of Obama of acting like too much freedom is extreme. Canadians didn't hold Trudeau to account for his shameful leadership on this issue.
+the nforcer thats bull as Trudeau said he would re amend that and revise it so it suits our rights looks like you don't pay attention? Also Harper was the one behind that %100 I wonder who voted Harper in I sure as hell never did.
+FarmersAreCool I don't think you're fucked in the head. I think you're cynical like everybody else that has lived under the policies of CPC and LPC for the past 2+ decades. They are the same.
+FarmersAreCool my personal opinion that I'm going to maintain: the NDP is a grassroots organization populated by individuals and organizations that have local origins/impacts. You can find nothing like them in the CPC or LPC. I hear what you are saying and respect your story. At this time I can't see a rational alternative outcome via extreme minority party. I sincerely suggest that you contact your NDP rep and share your story and offer support if you can. I think you may be surprised to find shared concerns and visions. Bitching about the world on Google+ and YouTube in a jaded perspective is something anybody can do, and it does nothing. I say that with respect for you because I can hear what your message is. Because your message is so poignant and personal, maybe you have more to offer than the typical person? Could you help the party with the message/direction?
I believe democracy is the path to mutual freedom, but we don't have it anymore, if we ever really did. Our politics have divided us instead of uniting us, I am a front line production worker. I used to be a dairy farmer, I was too weak to work 12 14 16 hour days any longer and somehow pay my Dad to retire so I left. I've worked at many mining sites all across Canada since then as a diamond driller. Still able to work on the front lines full of pride, all I have ever done is work. I know how rich this country is, I've seen our resources exploited away from ys on so many sites. Sudbury nickel owned by brazil, Schefferville Qc, massive iron ore resources split up between China and India. All these foreign flags have corporate control of our vast resource wealth and are stealing it from us while we are divided. The government of Canada is like the Toronto Maple Leafs, they don't have to evin win to make money. Both screw over the people cheering fanatically for them while failing to achieve results. Am I an anarchist? I don't wish to bind myself to any group think ism anymore. My Canadianism was very blinding, our families never gave up the fight since ww2. Our production won that war of attrition and it has been stolen away from the hands our our people. We are so brainwashed that we even blame ourselves, total atlas syndrome, for not being strong enough to hold back the world. For me my breaking point was talking to my Dad a few months back and him telling me "that he hopes i can get a good job in the next 5 years because he is going broke". That is code talk for the land has to be sold, the whole reason I left was to keep my dad and the land safe until I could find a way home. Much like "the talk" when I turned 13. "You 're going to work for someone else, or you're going to work for me, either way you're going to work" Dad's way of saying son I need you,but we are such pride filled fools we can't ever say what we mean. We just martyr ourselves to this Canadian God, while wovles in sheep's clothing direct our herd over the edge of the cliff, we proudly go like lemmings to our deaths. I wish to see this place benefit everyone, I want my dignity back, I want to be working hard so others don't have to. I want my success to be everyone's success, I want to live the dream again and I don't want to be poor or have to work all the time to be able to do it. I wish to see everyone have a part in the happiness I used to feel. I don't want to see anymore of my countrymen driving out into the woods and never coming back because this country has stolen their pride and dignity to be able to make a living like their fathers and grandfathers. I don't wish to see this place become more and violent, for everyone to be yelling and shouting while we collectively lose. Canada was my immortality, my story has been taken away and now that I am not staring so hard at the flag, I see where things are going and I don't like it one bit. My life was always work and laughter, now it is work and sadness, we are a broken and divided people, we are losing such a great opportunity to direct the world toward peace by setting a good example, not bursting with blinding pride, but tempered with humility and wisdom. If the world stops working that doesn't mean Canada should stop working, Mom always said "would you jump off a bridge just because your friends did?" . I don't know maybe I am just fucked in the head, don't mind me too closely.
Don't see any budget cuts to their pensions/paychecks when they have run our economy aground. We pay people to mismanage our wealth, we pay pay pay pay. We lose while they all win, can't work together like adults and we lose. The government of canada is managed like the toronto maple leafs, they don't have to win to keep making money. I cast blame onto the entire political class, this feeling of frenzy is similar to when the guillotine made its appearance in the french revolution. They all engage in feudal politics leading to a feudal economy. They all bend us over for the world to exploit our resources for free. They all must go.
+FarmersAreCool you can think what you want. I still believe that the NDP is the only party that is powered by grassroots individuals and organizations. If you have proof that party members are political actors I am open to seeing that.
Three way feudal power divide, NDP doens't care about TPP other than to divide our people further. Question should be why is the richest country resource richness to population density going down the tubes? Division created by the political actors. They all work to manuever market share of votes to secure fat paychecks and pensions. This current style of feudal politics is a weapon of division being used to exploit the Canadian citizen. Split us up three ways to rob us all. I don't see things getting better here until we get rid of these political parties and raise candidates from the community level forward, that would be a modern seperation of church and state. Independent representitives all working towards our betterment, not these corrupt political parties/churches complete with their own dogmatic belief systems splitting us three ways. Division is the enemy, those that divide us for bourgeosie interests at home and abroad are our enemies. Each one of these politicians represents a different head of the money/power hydra. In order to slay the hydra we must cut all heads off at once. We need to bypass these traitors and work to make this country what we want it to be.
+FarmersAreCool Bud, its Harper who is all about the TPP, why would the NDP empower China in our country when they are against the TPP because it harms our sovereignty?
Ndp will remove senate, pass laws willynilly, put us in deeper with expanding chinese control of our resources. We need to get foreign money out of our policy. We need to use the bank of canada to provide 0%loans for ourselves to use our resources building infrastructures for ourselves. Watch for a railroaded eu free trade deal as well during another mining boom in Canada in 2016. We will continue to lose overall.
Papal authority eventually extended into many aspects of life in Western Christendom and contributed to the reform and regularization of many institutions. Notably, in taking control of canonization, the papacy standardized and institutionalized the process of identifying a saint. However, the centralization of authority and the extension of papal legal jurisdiction also caused a number of problems for the church. The papal court and its army of clerical bureaucrats developed a reputation for corruption and venality, and the popes themselves were not above criticism. A late 12th-century satire maintained that the only saints venerated in Rome were Albinus (silver) and Albus (gold). Regarding this point in particular, one of the things left undone by the Gregorian reformers proved to be crucial. Their failure to uproot the notion of the “proprietary church” explains the willingness of later canonists to classify laws governing the disposition of ecclesiastical benefices as private law (law pertaining to the protection of proprietary right) rather than public law; it also accounts for the general tendency of people in the Middle Ages to regard ecclesiastical office less as a duty than as a source of income or an object of proprietary right. When the 13th-century popes found that direct papal taxation did not yield funds sufficient to support their bureaucrats, they adopted the practice of “providing” bureaucrats to benefices all over Europe, for the law itself encouraged them to think of such benefices as sources of much-needed revenue. Thus arose the characteristic abuses of pluralism (holding more than one benefice) and nonresidence, against which church reformers railed in vain from the mid-13th century; they soon laid the blame for these ills at the door of the papacy, which came to be regarded finally as an obstacle to reform rather than an agent of it. //www.britannica.com/topic/Roman-Catholicism Reading This made me laugh and laugh. Same shit as before, Regardless of the most holy of holy separation of church and state wehehehe.
We became complacent after WW2 when we said never again. Plato also said only the dead know rest from war, to me, meaning that war simply changed its form to economic domination in lieu of military domination. We are under occupation through financial centralization of power in all forms under nazi ideologies(absolute order/perfection/totality). WW2 ideology being the master race has right to the world, now under the form of cost effectiveness as the economic assault on small industry has continued(small producer is the new jew in this economic holocaust spread out upon the population of the world. War is fought for sources of production, to secure trade routes and resources and has been carried out using our brain washed nationalist loyalties to our countries, constantly amalgamating corporate power under constant top down restructuring to befuddle and confuse us with a faceless system lacking accountability. We have been removed from any control over the production/distribution controlling our lives and democracy is the only threat to this totalitarian power structure. What we have now is centralized democracy(a belief system with no basis in real liberty) which is not democracy at all, but more akin to a delusional dream utilizing the suspension of disbelief on a mass scale to fit us into a religious sheepable power matrix. Direct democracy within industry as well as our political system is required, we can't just be checking a piece of paper every four years and expect any difference. Democracy is a man made tool like a gun or a hammer, etc, all depends on how you use it. We need to sit down and redefine what democracy is without the mass disbelief we have subjected ourselves to by breaking one of the ten commandments and branding ourselves. Thou Shalt not make not unto thee any graven images. Branded from birth as slaves, I mean citizens, what a funny perspective change when you start interchanging those two words. Pride can only keep reality out for so long until you try to eat it or pay your bills with it. It is also devastatingly sad to wake up from the dream, all smiles and sunshine when the ambrosia of nationalism is flowing so sweetly. . Not a believer in any religious afterlife, but I've read some bible passages, not seeking salvation or any such, just because I judged the book too harshly when there is knowledge to be sifted out as this book is too historically significant to simply be dismissed as a collection of useless fairy tales, these are the fairy tales which the power structure of the last 1600ish years has been determined . 2 Timothy 4:2-4 2 Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage--with great patience and careful instruction.3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.4 They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths This passage is the state of the world and the idolatry we have subjected ourselves to, especially in regards to money and the symbology we have been brainwashed to worship unconsciously by constantly being bombarded with in a habitual manner. The council of Nicaea determined the forward economic and spiritual development of Christian eruope 325ad, on a modern context you see the same development agenda of a religion/power structure in the Agenda 21 Rio De Janeiro. This time the religious communal power structure is gearing us up for the coming centralized environmental communism where global agenda will be enacted on a local level and the freedom of the individual is trumped by the "good" of the community. But maybe this context I link is hocus pocus. MY life is a story modeled upon other stories and interwoven with each other person's story to create the great collective. The collective story is immortality, I miss that place. Control the mythology, control the collective story, control the minds of those who subject themselves to it.
Yes indeed Edo it would seem that we cannot do anything and Democracy is most likely lost forever... but when I think about it .... the main reason Democracy is gone is because we all worship the same God ... MONEY. Perhaps that is the reason for our inability to truly evolve with our technologies and for true Democracy to become a true edict of justice and love. WE HAVE ALL CONTRIBUTED TO THIS LIE... and forced into this worship of Money ... really when you think about it...
+D.D.P. studios Inc. yeah, but in our case a bunch of people are not the ones deciding on things....maybe yes on small things....big things, like invading another country, overthrowing other governments, we cant do anything about it....and look at all the propaganda, brainwashing people left and right...
Plato once said that there is a huge flaw with Democracy ... Just because a whole bunch of dumb people decided on something doesn't necessarily make it good it's Citizens... and he is right...
+Gregory Huf Going to take more than that, separation of church and state by dissolving political parties and the agenda that is pushed upon us by rich oligarchical interests at home and abroad.
Yes idealism is the only way... we live in the 21st Century... it's high time we started behaving according to our technological wonders... Mind you I believe the general public is starting to believe in the idealism... it's just a matter of making it popular again... as Artists I guess it's our job to make those things popular...
It was definitely a contributing factor for me. I lean both left and right as far as Canada's political spectrum is concerned. I am a gun owner, bow hunter, as well as an artist and I also feel a bit of an environmentalist. I believe in our freedoms as Canadians. My wife says I am a bit of an idealist, but what other way is there to be?
+VI Fizz So true indeed... It's exactly my fears... being a student of history... it always frightens me to see this type of legislation... it's gotta stop and these political parties who support this should be stopped...
+Angelo Pro hahahahahhahahaha...ha.....ha.........ha............haaa.this is really depressing, might also be why NDP won the Alberta election. Also, all history textbook dictators start with a similar law, Hitler, Stalin, and Mussolini, and others.
