their history has prestige. The old NSX even had Ayrton Senna involved in the production, hopefully they get back to that magic

2015 Chevy Impala 3.6L V6 MPG Highway Road Test
In this installment of the MPG Highway Road Test, we take a 3.6L V6 Chevrolet Impala 2LT for a set of Interstate highway loops. The Impala has drawn praise ...
Great video, amazing how the thing almost idles at freeway speeds.
Can you do a 2015 Corolla? When I get on the freeway I average 43-47mpg
with cruise control set to 65, which is amazing
Thanks, +Bad Drivers of the DC Area! Nice highway numbers from your Corolla! I've driven the 2015 Corolla briefly, but it was a while back. Not sure if I'll get to do a review, but it may be a possibility at some point in the future.

+kenbefound Apologies on the audio on this one! I was using a Tascam audio recorder, but I ran into some problems with it. I'll have it fixed for the next video.
A Honda Odyssey should get similar numbers to what you got in this test
lol...CR actually got 34 mpg with the impala at a steady 65mph (may have
been base v6 model though)
+ExactlyPrecisely I think the improved aero for many newer cars really helps a lot. In the past I would drive an '03 Lincoln Aviator SUV that had a 300 HP V8 running premium and I could easily achieve 22-24 going 55-60 on most main roads but once hitting the interstate going 70-75 it would drop down into the mid-upper teens and I could also really feel the drag and all of that thanks to such a blunt front profile, steep windshield, and an 8.9 inch stock ride height.
+mb013962 Close, my 06 Odyssey (vcm) gets 25.5 - 27.0 mpg moving from 72-82 mph.

+ewjomega The problem is that the Mid-cycle refresh Accord would be perfect if it came with AWD, even that crappy 90/10 AWD in the MDX. I'm driving through my 3rd NYC winter, and I think this is the last one I'm going through in a FWD.. as much as I love my sedans, it's a shame that I'll have to buy a crossover to not be eviscerated just for AWD.To your point though, offering AWD in the Honda trim level would eviscerate Acura sales, because SH AWD is damn near the only reason I'm even looking at the TLX as opposed to a fully deck out Accord.
+SinsofIgnoranceMost people lease their BMW's and Audi's too expensive to maintain and repair when the warranty is done. While way more people Finance their Lexus' and Acura's because they're built to last. Cadillac's are a mixed bag the only people that buy Escalades tend to keep them.
+Panthers1521 BMW 3 series (except for GT version) is a civic size/ILX size. TLX is almost as big as Lexus ES. Yes BMW 3 series definitely performs better (but how many times are you going to drive aggressively on a daily basis?), but you are paying the BMW price and the maintenance costs. I don't know too many people keep their BMW after 5 years. Put TLX in sport+ mode and the lag is nearly gone. Acura is definitely wrong to market the TLX as a performance car. It more comfort with some sportiness to it and very affordable to keep it long-term.
+Panthers1521The guys at Acura don't lol. Hell even the engineers at Honda are starting to get it by turbo charging the Civic so that their top selling product doesn't fall behind like the Acura TL did.
+Panthers1521The second and third gen tl's were fun to drive especially the type s models. Acura needs to start turbocharging their cars like Audi and BMW that's why they're much more fun to drive. Variable Valve timing alone doesn't cut it anymore like it did 10-15 years ago.
+Panthers1521BMW's are a million times more fun to drive but are hit or miss with electrical problems while Audi's are more reliable than both Acura and BMW these days but both German cars are more expensive to maintain (expensive oil services and brake services + more expensive parts).
+krauser979 I agree, if the transmistion was better the car would be much better, not perfect but better. I rented a $15,000 golf last week and the transmission was night and day better. In the end i learned you get what you pay for, and i should have payed the extra premium and bought a BMW or an Audi.
+Panthers1521 People are having the same complaints with the Chrysler 200 since it uses the same transmission. ZF really screwed up when designing this transmission. Acura should've made the 8 speed dual clutch work with the V6.
+Panthers1521 I drive the same TLX model as you on lease. I agree with you about the slight delay when you floor it. It almost has the same feeling of waiting for turbo to kick in. But it shouldn't be that way. Once that slight delay is over, it takes off nicely. I can see how this would be annoying for others, but it doesn't bother me since I drive it just to commute, and there's no delay in normal quick acceleration like in traffic. I have no problems with the GPS or the tech user interface. The voice activation is basically useless. The BT phone quality is excellent. The sound system is okay, but could be better. The push button shifter is not as quick as a normal shifter. Going from drive to reverse too quickly will send you into neutral. Scary when you're in a middle of a u-turn in heavy traffic. I've learned to adjust to it though, and give it a second after braking before pulling the reserve button. Once you get use to it, no issues. The ride is smooth, but not Cadillac smooth. The cabin is probably the most quiet cabin I've been in, they got that part right. The sunroof is standard and the sliding cover is cheap as fuck. They should at least have a larger or panoramic sunroof. I don't really considered the TLX a performance or luxury car like it's made out to be, but it's still a pretty good car. I have no major complaints. I do enjoy the TLX, but besides it's Jewel headlights and Push button shifter, there's nothing too special about it.
+penpen123 To begin if you are looking for performance I would for sure look at other cars like a BMW340. There a reason a BMW is more money because its just a better car, and you get what you pay for. The transmission on the car is super annoying, it has 9 speeds which is great for fuel, but not for performance. I can be in sport mode, floor it and there will be a couple second delay for it to shift to a lower gear. It can sound dumb but its annoying when you buy a "performance" and you what to get moving on the highway. The engine sound sounds nothing special(same engine as honda accord), and the tech in the car is just terrible, you can hear all about this on the forum. Its mind blowing how crappy the GPS and user interface is. Nothing is responsive and there is a delay to do just about anything. In the end this is a Honda Accord thats fully loaded and some different body panels. I would recommend buying a Honda Accord V6 or spend a few grand more and get a BMW
+Panthers1521 Why is it bad? Just wondering from your perspective since I'm thinking about getting it.
2015 ACURA TLX review: TLX SUCKS compared to TL
Acura replaces its compact TSX and midsize TL sedans this year, making room for the 2015 Acura TLX. The new model is about what you'd expect from the ...
I'm a fan of the genesis power is very underestimated if Hyundai had a acura version of its make with a more professional name they would outsell most especially with BMW designing their cars they look sick now
+James Mason I'd gladly pick an AWD 3.8-L Genesis over the TLX.In fact, I currently have an Azera on lease that goes back in June. I may have to choose a Genesis or Sonata. Acura was STUPID. The RLX is a slow, cramped piece of shit with no attraction whatsoever. The TLX split the different between the TL and TSX. They fucked up and went small.
The simple fact that acura cars with gasoline engines have no exhaust tips
goes to show you how stupid and ignorant their designers are. You should
have ignored that stupid smart mouth kalimbakid...He is an idiot that
doesn't know anything. But acura sucks balls now.
No it's not. The 2010-2012 6 speed manual transmission SHAWD is the fastest. Audi s4 fast. I know b/c I own it. I get wheel spin at take off, 2nd and 3rd gear. That's outrageous power for a NA v6.
I am 6.2 and 200lbs and have room to spare . How large is this giant making
this video , my goodness his knees were just about touching the glove box
Obviously the giant ...require a much larger car and is peed- off at
acura for making his TL smaller ,
I am 6:02 and the my main problem is not leg space but head space. Don't put me in the back seat and hit a bump my head will make a dent in the roof. Of most sedans in his class the TLX has the the least head space. The Volvo S60 and BMW 3 series have more head space for me. By the way I do not think that the Mercedes the reviewer mentions had much more space than the TLX.
