Just disconnect either of the 2 wires from the old battery, and connect a new battery across the 2 wires to the card circuit board. This keeps the new battery from getting loaded down by the dead battery . Note - If you match the voltage of the old battery (1.5 or 3 volts) , thats all you need to do, the size of the battery doesnt matter in this case. You could also use a AAA battery (1.5 v) in a battery holder, with some thin wires to the card, if the card runs on 1.5 volts. Or use two AAAs in series, if the card needs 3 volts. But be sure to match the (+) end of the new battery with where the (+) end of the old battery was, or you might hurt the card.
