He had already spent the day salvaging belongings and checking on friends and neighbors. If you can find a moment of solice in a pain-filled day, then take it. That is what he did. It is a lot better than sitting around whining like many other people seem to do in his situation. I don't know him personally, but I am 3 ppl removed. The only thing I got form your message mrmongoose, is that you are a judgmental person who doesn't look at the whole picture.

Context is key. This video was taken after he and his roommate evacuated family members from Boulder and took them into their house, only for the flood to hit them next. This was his reaction to that.

Thanks Paul for the memory of this track, which I have on a Seraphim LP of Gerald Moore's own selection of recordings made with his favourite singers [Teyte, Hotter, Seefried, Ferrier etc.] Aksel Schiøtz made my favourite recordings of Schoene Mullerin and Dichterliebe: and he was very good in sacred music. I place him with Karl Erb and Julius Patzak among the great 'natural' Lieder-singers.
