+G Sebron The kit was engineered by the President of the company (at NVX, who also owns a Tesla Model S). He was careful to design the system to pull sufficient power for more robust bass in the vehicle, however - not so much that it would have impact on range. From our experience, having owned and tested the system in our own 2012 Model S... we have found the impact on range to be negligible -- even if we have the system cranked for long periods of time. Although we have not tested this using any instrumentation, it has been installed in hundreds of Model S vehicles who have never (thus far) had any issues and/or complaints re: range.
