It makes a huge amount of sense to reward people for working 4 days or less a week, that way there can be more job sharing. Another is to reward people for working less hours per day. It is crazy how long we are working in modern day when technology has made the basic essentials mass produces, such as food.

The people from the "New Economics Foundation" should start another foundation; "The New Physics Foundation" so that gravity can be turned off and light can be slowed down and time can be reversed. That would solve many of the problems!

People are already working fewer hours because of zero hour contracts. The only difference is zero hour contracts don't let you wind down and recharge, they keep people permanently anxious and on their toes.

We are surrounded by hungry bankers,politicians and criminals with spears cautiously poking at us so as not to provoke too great a response lest we,the people realise we are in this together and solve the inherent problems that stand before us...or leave it for our children or even our grandchildren! If they ask us why we allowed this rife corruption to take root in our society we can just tell them we kept an eye while doing our best impressions of an ostrich.

It's amazing how much the guy on the street has nothing to do with how good the economy is doing but everything to do with it nosediving. An additional dozen or so billion in the national coffers over a year is not gonna make any "small persons" life any better at all. It's yet another example of finding a way to squeeze yet more tax revenue from the work of tired and angry Brits to benefit 'the city'.

I have close knowledge about Hutton. He is the archetypal patronising elitist. His organisation whose mission is to "promote good work for all", was until recently a registered charity but like Common Purpose it has communist leanings and receives large amounts of government cash via the backdoor. Another wolf in sheep's clothing contributing to the destruction of this country from the inside.

Continuously we are hearing about measures of austerity, from every occidental country, everyday more sever. No prosperity, no capital for usual needs of a civilized life. As in the midst of war. But, who are the belligerents? And next, that austerity could lead to building houses without roof for people?

Guess what? If we worked none stop until we died, the economy would benefit. Especially if we died before inconveniently claiming those pensions we pay into our entire lives. They can use "economic benefits" to take away almost anything.

It will never happen. They'd sooner do away with days off in general or tea and lunch breaks for all workers, except for the bankers that it. Bank holidays will never end until the banks end!

Denis listen to the lyrics Last year you did micky and a few of the boys(1980) This year we're gonna get you and make our fucking noise Ps the fighting this song is about was in Dreamland locals( skins and a few punks) against a gang of casuals /normals and possibly the odd mod from London on a beano I too was there .
