+JuggernautFitnessTV Sorry for the noobish question, but those collars seem
pretty hefty - are they factored into the total weight of the lift or is it
just bar+plates?
They are heavy and they are factored in. At a sanction meet all the plates and collars are weighed and calibrated which is one reason people's gym lifts might be less than they think those 42 and 44 lbs plates they think are 45s can add up real fast.
Drug testing is no more legit than non-tested. First off most top athletes around the world in every sport use drugs, powerlifting is not special in that people who don't use drugs are any more or less legit than those that do, secondly drug testing is an IQ test nothing more nothing less.
I was doing referee training and doing actual refereeing so no I cannot compete. Conflict of interests as I would have the ability to red light my competitors.
I was about say some awesome deep house vibes. I need to move to the UK haha

watched all of the video and same goes for deadlift, (only just started
bench) these videos are awesome, huge range of weights being used and its
nice to see all the lifts not just heavy ones. My question is probably
extremely stupid and apologies Jason because I've not had the chance to
compete yet (no meets in my country), but the birmingham meet that just
took place can you have any nationality?Cause Im not british I just wanted
to know if I can still compete, I was born in uk if that helps lol.
As long as you are a legal resident it should be fine. Contact the BPU to find out for sure. I've competed with guys from Poland, Latvia etc so far though.
