Three consecutive holiday airlines depart Birmingham Airport to three completely different destinations on a beautiful December Morning. This was filmed on the ...
Great video, I really like the idea behind the tower and aircraft being
shown on screen, would you mind at all if I was also to use it on the rare
occasion I take a break from shooting pics and film every now and then to
include that same style? Obviously mine possible won't be as good
+ALEX INSULL CHANNEL Thankyou Alex. You mean the subtitle idea? You can if you want, I am not going to stop you. It just might not look very good on your channel though as people may know that I developed that idea first:P But yeah if you want go for it.
+Mraviationguy eh, we'll see. I mostly was just interested in knowing if you remembered it. I try to stay up to speed on all those member channels still ;)
It was a really cool idea but I think everyone is just so busy nowadays to make enough content for one channel let alone post stuff on there every now and then:/
+dbn52 Yeah I know what you mean, it is impressive on so many levels. No problem, thanks for watching.

Arrivals & Departures ✈ Birmingham Airport
It had been a while since I visited Birmingham Airport to film, so I spent the afternoon in Sheldon Country Park observing some arrivals and departures.
+Ben Clark You're welcome. Yes, I'm hoping to get down to more airports more often over the next few months! Looking at going back to Birmingham, doing East Midlands for the first time and re-visiting Heathrow too.
+DMTaylor90 Thanks for your reply, so it was a 300ER, I probably should have known by the long fuselage, I think it was the wings that made me think it was an LR, the way they curve upwards toward the tips. Will you be doing some more videos soon?
A busy Saturday afternoon at Birmingham Airport, drawing in aviation enthusiasts from around the world to fly on the Biman Bangladesh DC-10 scenic flights.
*FULL HD* China Southern A332 First Departure from BHX (Birmingham Airport)

@TheBHXSpotter The fence, I would say is a little under 6 foot in height,
but there are holes in it at various points (especially the very furthest
corner closest the runway), and someone has actually put a mound of
gravel/dirt next to the fence at one point so there's opportunities to see
through and over. And yes, I always arrive by public transport it's fine :)
Enjoy.
These videos are great! I know how to get to the long stay 1 car park but
im worried i wont be able to see anything because people say you need a
step ladder... And also is it ok to go there even if you havent travelled
by car? Thanks :) Keep up the good videos btw
@TheBHXSpotter Catch the Air Rail link across to the Terminal building then
head downstairs and outside, walking up the hill and around the side of the
terminal building and Long Stay 1 starts there.
@DMTaylor90 Thank you very much. Im only 16 and im very tall anyway lol so
I should be fine. From birmingham international train station what is the
best way to get to to the car park?

With a full crosswind, there will be no headwind, so the perception will be
of travelling faster before rotation. If you start with a headwind, you
already have a certain amount of airflow over the wing and therefore the
rotation speed will seem to be slower relative to the groundspeed. The
tricky part of a crosswind takeoff is keeping the aircraft in a straight
line as it wants to weather-cock into wind and requires an element of
crossed-controls to achieve this.
i remember, i went to amsterdam on the 18th of January 2007 and the flight
was freekay... i remember they closed the airport not long after this.
Crazy shit. you should have seen the 747s going in a schipol shit they
looked like they were gna stall so bad... never again...
That's not quite correct. You won't be going a lot faster in a take-off
than a landing, perhaps a little more but not much more. It's all to do
with the amount of lift that the wing can create at a ceratin weight
depending on configuration of the flaps.
In a crosswind landing, the approach will usually be made by crabbing the
aircraft in at an angle to the runway to to track the centrelinethe. The
hardest part is to then straighten it up for touch-down without being blown
sideways.
Well after 10 years of flying commercial aircraft this is a day to day
stuff for us. (In my opinion in this vid, having flown that type, the crew
could have worked a bit harder to keep it straight in the take-off roll.)
Hummmm, looked like this aircraft is equipped with castering gear (?).
Never had the longitudinal axis aligned with the center line...if no
castering gear, wonder how the rubber remained on the tires.
