I thought there was a rule (at least in the NFL) that states that a player
(like a receiver on a regular play) MUST line up a certain distance away
from the sideline. Number 9 there is pretty damned close to the sideline.
Anyone? Anyone??
+Lawrence Bader In high school rules, for a regular play from scrimmage, after the ball is marked ready for play, each player of A (offense) who participated in the previous down and each substitute for A must have been, momentarily, between the 9-yard marks, before the snap. However, there is no such rule on kickoffs.
I know it isn't rugby. It's that pussy game where they wear helmets and pads and stop play for 2 minutes after every tackle so they can figure out what to do next.
