Smashing repair jahan :-) Im sure that was much cheaper than buying a new idler :-) That outer race didnt stand a chance once you welded a crossbar in, and the bench vise is an under rated tool, so handy for all sorts of jobs :D And the skin scrapes is proof you are a real mechanic lol :D

I hear a rattling noise under the hood of my 2007 chevy equinox and was told by a mechanic it was the tension that needed to be replaced..so does that mean it was the tension rod or actual belt tensioner. He had a heavy accent so I only understood a little, but I hear the rattling noise sometimes itll start when air is on and sometimes itll start on its on. Can you help me please, bc i want to know if its cheaper for me to buy the part and get fixed or pay a mechanic to do everything.

How do you get the torque values on everything? Do you have factory service manuals are do you use Chilton or Haynes manuals? Thanks! Videos are great!
