Also the fact that Japan, China and Korea have a centuries old history in common and of conflict, is being disregarded. This interdependence both good and bad, however, is what some American fear most, because if united these Far East countries would kick the Americans military out of their territories and out of their conflicts, ending the this neo-colonial occupation (the main point of the extreme Nationalist, although the MSM is trying to convince everyone that their animosity is towards China or Korea). Japan, just like Germany and South Korea is occupied territory. US have military Nuclear bases stationed all over the places. For long time they weren't allowed to take offensive military action because the US did not allow them constitutionally. China has to be very cautious not to give Japan any benefit even though she may make a promise to give Diaoyu Island back to China. Japan has to officially announce to the world that Diaoyu Island belong to China, or it will be a waste of time for China to negotiate with Japan. It is Japan who starts this conflict, and Japan has to pay the price for it.
