+gemeloS40 Probably.

Question Robert after I put my cam cover back on my exhaust cam is off line by a little, how can I get it back in time without pulling the cam cover back off ?

+gary dawson Turn it.

Hey Robert! I'm leveling up my 850 and bought an ecu and 19t with spool control from ard. Now he mentions that the cams need to be adjusted amd I've purchased the tool to do that but im still not crystal clear on how to retard or advance the cams.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-MJgsnyN6zsI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAH4/o2S6sqqM4F4/photo.jpg?sz=64
Huh? It's easy, just do it or hire someone to do it for you.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y9gM0NxmSGs/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAE8/FtqqSBu85_c/photo.jpg?sz=64
+rebelmaderighteous Is there anything else i should be aware of in attempting this? You mentioned the lifters would resist against the cams rotating, will they be difficult to move?
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y9gM0NxmSGs/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAE8/FtqqSBu85_c/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Robert DIY ooohhhhhh it all makes sense now. I had no idea the gears where slotted. Maybe you mentioned it in th is video but i must have passed right past it. Thanks for your patience!

Huh? Read what a wrote a few times. You have to pull the rotor because you can NOT access the back of the cam with the rotor on it.
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y9gM0NxmSGs/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAE8/FtqqSBu85_c/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Robert DIY lol i ment will the cam move when i turn the gear?
https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-Y9gM0NxmSGs/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAE8/FtqqSBu85_c/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Robert DIY why do i need to remove the rotor? Will the cam move when i turn the cam? I seems i need to remove the belt.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-MJgsnyN6zsI/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAH4/o2S6sqqM4F4/photo.jpg?sz=64
+rebelmaderighteous Set the timing on the marks. remove the cap, rotor, etc. from the intake cam. Loosen the bolts on the front of the cam sprocket. From the back of the cam. turn the cam (top) towards the front of the car (advance). That would be counter clockwise when looking at the back of the cam. Secure the bolts on the cam sprocket and install the cap, rotor, etc. Do the same for the exhaust, remove the cam sensor and turn it either clockwise (retard) or counter clockwise (advance) when looking from the back of the head. Let me know if you have any questions.

A straight six cylinder is a very special engine design. The sound and torque is so nice. Thanks Jay.......
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+William Kiene You are right. The only engine design inherently smoother than a straight-six is a V12 (because it is essentially two straight sixes connected).

what's the deal with the steering wheel?
https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XdUIqdMkCWA/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAAA/4252rscbv5M/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Maximilian S Egress!..Weren't you paying attention? Egress.
https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-d9mWMYtIpg4/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAM8/11XnowiV7w4/photo.jpg?sz=64
+Maximilian S there's no power steering since it's a 1950's race car.. so a large diameter steering wheel helps decrease the effort.

Very cool looking cars indeed, even when they're parked next to Jay's Gullwing!!I've got a 1971 Triumph GT6 that I'm restoring at the moment, but i'm planning on buying a TR2 or TR3 when I'm doneI'm not sure the original fans were up to the job on these cars, especially in Arizona (I'm in the UK about 5 miles away from the site of the old Triumph Factory so cooling shouldn't be a problem for me). If the cooling system appears to be in order on your uncle's car, maybe there's a blockage/restriction in the engine block? He could run a flushing agent through the engine, but the only way to really clear out the water passages would be to strip the engine and have it dippedHope you all enjoy the car, they really are beautiful

My uncle has a '59 TR3A his has the original dog dish hub caps. But it has some serious cooling issues here in Arizona.

+BuzZzKiller Sure is....Triumph TR3A Wide Mouth.I can't wait for him to do a video on that one, I've seen it in the background of so many of his videos
