8 Speed tranny and only a 3:42 rear end? for some damned reason GM has a
bad habit of putting high geared rear ends in their vehicles, had a 78
Monte Carlo it had a 2:29 rear end! The car hated hills unless it was going
over 80 mph So what's the purpose of having a 3:42 with an 8 speed? Having
this set up is defeating the purpose of getting power out of this truck at
the wheels........WHERE IT COUNTS!!! 4:11's would be nice.
I had to scroll way too far down to find someone who finally mentioned the gearing. Incredibly backwards thinking. Especially for a "max tow". I'd think a 373 rear end option would be ideal.
It's the all gloss black one. The blackout has the matte black accents. The midnight comes with some serious off road tires I think the blackout has street tires. They are both sick as hell looking though.
