Yep that sure is one sharp wiz bang of a car.But the league they're in around me is that league that's in my rearview mirrors .The Challenger has one to its credit already .I was setting at a light in Springfield amd there was one setting next to me at the light a bouncing the engine of the wall with his injection limiter cutting it out and his turbo over pressuring cut off going nuts. I go ok next green we're going for it. I rump up that built 426 Hemi and he turns really pale. I yell over to him Come on Don't Puss out on me lets see what ya got Pussy!!!! Alright old man he goes get ready to get your ass handed to ya.Light drops to green I let him go first and I jump the throttle and grab a big shift and rip past him.I point to a parking lot to pull in and he follows .I park and pull open the hood and he gets pissed .He was expecting a 5.7 or 6.5 Electric Hemi not a old school 426. 7.65 Liter and a Lenco Planetary drag tranny . I show him that its a modified Stocker not a Common street car. I let him loose and he drives off dragging his tail and I'm laughing my butt off Its like Get that right dingelberry go home and spend some money and you might get half way to where I'm at.

+dougslittlediesel I see, another race challenge. Well, that's why they call your car the Challenger.  I could have told this GT-R guy that he wouldn't have won that race.  Oh yeah, they are fast but slow to get a-going.  So no wonder the Challenger won.  You seem to win a lot of street races with your Challenger.  Way to go.

Hey Warren. Nice looking car. I've heard of the Nissan GT-R. Nissan has been offering the GT-R since the late 60s, early 70s. For some reason, they were never offered in the USA until 2007.

+Jason Carpp Even to this day, insurance companies rate their premiums to car owners based on horsepower.  BUT, the demise of the muscle car back then was also due to the saturation of muscle cars on the market.  Look how many car makers offered muscle cars and then realize the decline of sales, lets say of a Chevy Camaro.  Less car model sales means less profit and less of those manufactured at the plants.  So, its not just the insurance companies but public demand.  Thanks Jason.

+55lincoln Thank you. I know that by the 1970s, muscle cars fell out of favour, because insurance companies that the cars themselves were too fast to be safe. I'm not against safety, but who the hell are the insurance companies to decide what's safe and what's dangerous?

+Jason Carpp Well said Jason.  I understand your point of view exactly.  Thanks.

+55lincoln I'm sure they have their reasons, but I believe it's a bunch of b.s. Insurance companies seem to think it's the car's fault that accidents occur. I've never driven a GT-R, but that doesn't mean that I couldn't.

+Jason Carpp I don't know why Nissan didn't offer this in the U.S. previously to '07.  Perhaps, it might have been the high insurance rates for cars of this magnitude / horsepower.  Your guess is as good as mine.  Many thanks for enjoying this GT-R.
