Darren, Just want to say that I have seen your videos, not all but I have

been washing cars for 8 years, I have been selling "Details" for the last
few years.I started watching your videos and have applied your knowledge.
You have changed my business and my PROFITS. Thank you sir. Thank you very
much.
+tearscratch31 Well my friend, it is words like this that make the endless hours all worth while. I am grateful to have helped you and your world out in any way that I have. Thank you; I am just as fortunate to be part of this win/win!
now i dont use apc on leather, no way,. i like to use autoglyms leather
cleaner or theyre interior cleaner on leather. apc contains sodium
hydroxide which is of course an irritant and is not kind to skin so leather
is also a no no. the way i would be have cleaned it would have been to have
a damp microfibre ready, hit it with my mild interior cleaner, give it
maybe 2 mins, and just wipe it off. or if i had my wet vac machine on
standby, id have hit it with my mild cleaner, and sucked the chucks away
then come bk with a microfibre and took care of the rest. what i found
really suprising darren, was you spray'd the leather seat with a sodium
hydroxide solution then covered it up and let it dell on the leather! maybe
i missing something, but i wont use apc on leather to start with never mind
leave it on there to possible do any damage. i understand you know
the products u use, but id not take that risk when there is no need. i mean
id be pretty pissed if someone used that stuff on my leather!
+Auto Fetish Detail yeah i understand what works for you, works for you. I just meant that the way ive learnt is not to use this stuff/sodium hydroxide on leather etc.
+nissan300bhp You're right you did miss something. It's called real world experience with this particular product. My ways are not the only ways and certainly the products I use are not the only products that work, but I only speak from experience. What you say makes sense at a casual level, but the reality is that most leather today found in cars is coated in a clear, water based coating and you are no longer dealing with a natural material. I have cars that are literally 10+ years old and I have used nothing but APC on them to keep them clean. No conditioners, dressings, neutralizers, etc., and they look and feel just as perfect as they did from day one.So once again, I simply speak from experience, and if you prefer a different method that works for you then stick with it.
+nissan300bhp agree, this 'Weekly' detailed mercedes leather wont look too good when in constant contact to apc with very long dwell times, over a few months. lets not forget though that it more than likely isn't proper hide either, doesnt bother me, if it look slike leather, it gets treated like leather. cant do any harm then, the yanks think they know best, but true detailing started here in the uk
+RagazzaVenere Because people who drive high-end, brand new Mercedes are too good for that...duh! :) Great job Darren! I'm really glad I stumbled across your videos yesterday.
