As an A&P mechanic of 4 years, let me inform those who are looking into it...DON'T DO IT! If you don't like working in extreme heat, cold, and being treated like crap...get your degree instead! I'm going back to get mine in Business Administration and my CPA. Not only will I be making quadruple what I do now, I won't be getting yelled at, pushing around planes outside in extreme temperatures, and being pressured to do things that could be dangerous and illegal. I much prefer an air conditioned cubicle, with the heaviest thing I lift is a coffee mug. I can't wait to get out of it forever
