I have the Kenwood KDC-X796 EXcelon In-Dash USB/CD Receiver with Built-in Bluetooth/HD Radio. I was wondering if that will work on the Iphone 5

+Esly Lopez if you use the radios HDMI input it will not pass the video out of the units AV output.

Yes it will because the HDMI is being considered to standard RCA video. This means it will pass though to the rear screen.
