I used to have that problem since I also have a USB mic. I don't know
whether it will work for you, but the workaround I tried was to make sure
that the default format is set to 1 channel, 16-bit, 44,100Hz. If you're
using Windows 7, this can be done by going to; - Control Panel, search for
"sound" and click it - Click on the "recording" tab and double click on
your mic - Go to advanced and select the setting that I mentioned before.
Should be the same for Vista, not sure about XP.
I used to use Audacity, but after getting the mic featured in this video I
started recording my voice inside of Sony Vegas after recording the
video...this is in a nutshell how I edit. 1. Come up with an idea 2. Record
the video portion 3. Edit video (pan, crop, zoom, transitions, FX etc) 4.
Record voice inside of Sony Vegas while playing back video 5. Edit audio
(adjust bass, treble and mid) 6. Render when happy. All in all,
everything's done within 30 to 45mins.
I think everything listed in the video that's not free/open source is
pirateable...if it exists, you can crack it. I just wanted to get "THEre's
a PIRATE on the BAY who say's you can get it free without a fee" in the
video somewhere because it's what I use a lot to refer to thepiratebay XD
You can send a sample to lord .reserei .youtube@hotmail .com (without the
spaces of course) It's the email I provide for those who want a more direct
approach if Youtube's down for maintenance or being screwy. =)
