Gave the Saints life and they won the game by extending a drive that they should have punted.. That loss cost the 49ers home field for the playoffs. QB's wearing skirts putting up video game numbers and these talking heads going goo goo eyed over it like it's something phenomenal. Makes me sick. +John Hagan I kow waht ya mean. I lived in Minjnesota at the time. So, I rarely saw anything other than Vikings or other central division teams games. Rarely got to see the 49ers or the Redskins. You're a Bears fan? I could upload their 1985 season games. I have copies of all 19 (counting postseason & super Bowl 20) Bears games of 1985.I remember watching many of their games that year. Always wished the Vikings could be that good, haha

In 1988, the bears had a bunch of key injuries going into that fog bowl and lost key free agents the year before. The 49ers were simply the healthier team. There is no question the bears should have won another title between 1984-1988, especially 1986. Also, don't forget the Bears losing Leslie Frazier and Dennis McKinnon for the entire 1986 season hurt. Frazier was a top NFL corner and McKinnon was the best blocking wideout in football. He was the Hines Ward of the 80s and always killed the Giants. Facts are facts!

The Bears Dennis Gentry led the NFL in kick return average in 1986. The Bears had a record breaking defense and would have destroyed the Giants just like in 85 and 87. Simms and McMahon both made the pro bowl in 1985 and were an equal matchup. Giants only had a better decade because they won in 1990 giving them 2 titles, but Bears had the better team from 1984 to 1988. The NFL is about matchups. The Bears did not matchup well with the 49ers, but owned the Giants. Facts are facts!
