@homesteadinarental Sounds like you're well on your way to self-sufficiency
in the food dept. Despite the bump in hunting (I've averaged about a deer a
month with others) I know that I'm just at the beginning of the learning
curve after a year of mostly building. Best to you as well.
I really look forward to your weekly posts Masa always very informative..I
remember my 1st deer..and the 1st bite..I think you will too... your videos
are the best!! keep em coming..I hope your new year is going well
do you think in one video you could give a tour of the layout of your
cabin? as well as maybe just the layout of the area your cabins built
around? Cheers! december looked like a good month!
@chalkhill714 - I appreciate your taking the time to comment. You're right
about those 1st's. Indelible memories indeed. Hope that you're having a
great start to the new year as well!
More cabin tours of all your neighbors cabins! Those type of buildings are
so rare it would be great to get some video of all the creative structures
up there.
Hi there - sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you as I was in Costa
Rica again, getting footage for my next video. Cubans keep their old
American cars running by imaginative & industrious combination of
caniballizing other broken down cars, making new parts from scratch,
adapting parts from other cars, and integrating whole new systems from
other cars (eg diesel engines & whole transmissions from Japanese &
European cars. You can imagine the toll on their economy from the embargo...
It's good to hear about that work - the people of Cuba definitely
appreciate it. When we were there, Cubans were very clear that they have no
problem with Americans, just with the US government.... The real benefit
will come when the embargo is lifted & equitable trade resumes. Given the
age of the American cars & how much they have been modified over the years,
I don't know how you'd go about making an inventory of parts. Tools, sports
equip & musical instruments are sure valued.
