he is running about a 2.2, special purpose motor, otherwise you would blow it with the nitro. Just because im 17 doesnt mean i didnt do my part to educate myself, age doesnt determine things like that anymore, not with information is readily available at your fingertips. Also, really, i would never buy a taurus, or a focus, i like muscle cars, and the last time i saw a ricer running with the big boys was when it had an american stroker 8cylinder in it. Keep mouthing, you dont sound any smarter.

true but it is also goes for around 1800 pounds vs the chargers 4000, and not the 2.7 is about 0-60 in 9.5 seconds, one thing people forget to do is take off the traction control, which cuts down the torque on all the chargers. And nah the charger is going to be a project car for a very large mopar stroker. Right now it is an insurance saver, so i will be waiting till im 21 or so, and plus im thinking about getting a grand national which is 0-60 in 3.2 seconds for around 10 grand, new shaft tho

im sorry but you have to take care of any other car just the same. Just because some 5 ft tall japanese guy designed the engine does not mean it will last for ever with out being maintained. And jobs are being outsourced because indians and hispanics in mexico, are being paid 2 dollars an hour as where in the usa little 17 year old boys dont want to work unless its like 12an hour thats why they are being outsourced not because of any other reason. And because of this is why the quality suffers.

Well lets see my silverado had 120k and had no leaks at all and still ran strong. My sisters pontiac grand am has over 100k still works fine other than the cheap plastic interior. Fathers ford contour had over 100k before he traded it in and it worked fine. But then again those are before the last 5 years, they are all 2002 models and before. The new ones i cant say much about. But what is making the u/s car companies fail is a domino effect from the housing market failing not from bad cars.

Boy you really do not know your cars do you? You seem to have alot to say and you think i get 14 MPG?? Sure for about 2 second, in 2nd gear im up to 18 and 3rd im already at 24 mpg, so Mr. Expert, can you tell me the answer as to why? Answer: MDS Multi-Displacement System, retard. I shut off 4 cyliders and cruise at 31 MPG. 4/1000ths of a second, all 8 kick in. As for owning 25 cars I owned MULTIPLE ONES for different purposes. I currently own 2, moron. Anymore wiseass uneducated replys?

My current 2006 Dodge Charger is the BEST car ive ever owned AND I get 31 MPG with an 8 Cylinder HEMI! AND I have a more comfortable ride that can EAT RICE at every red light. THATS A PACKAGE. I live in America, I Support AMERICA, not the stupid bastards who still havent apologized for bombing it, and instead try to take all the money. As for the current problems with US companys AND TOYCRAPPA, MITSUCRAPI is UNIONS and poor sales in a bad economy. THATS the answer, but it doesn't help US

@f00kbush Are you saying after all these years of experience building cars, Dodge still can't make a balanced car? Anyone that races knows that any car configuration needs to be balanced. So the original question still stands "But you have to wonder, what the fuck is Dodge doing"? When you win, you win, plain simple. thank you and i am sorry for my choice of words. Yea i agree the cars in your highschool years were terrible, i used to have a supra from 88 which was a very good car,i wish i still had it because i would have re done the whole thing, But i love the cars the most from the 60's and earlie 80's like the corvettes, cuda's, and the gt500's. Now i am happy they are starting to reintroduce the cars again but with different styling, it has the large hood space for large motors and upgrades.

That is the simple fact, and there is no jap car that wins on a drag strip, simply because they are not torque friendly, also the europeans beat them into submission, also i have seen american cars get that many miles, it all just depends on the motor. And by the way dodge is not pathetic. Anyway as soon as i get the time and money, i am dropping a twin turbo 572 nre stroker. and it is made for everyday driving and will last a long time.

And by the way smart ass, im 17, and its a CHARGER. it is bigger than most cars, bigger than most of the older ones they drop into. Get a fucking clue. Also jap cars can be modded to the extreme, and still not have the torque to pass an car with a stroker in it. You know what happens when you pile up a jap car too "TOTAL". you dont know what you are talking about, you probably worship the supra, which i learned to drive on, and are whipped by your wife, have a little respect punk.

Id have to agree with you. Im not even from America and even i know that imports are 90% garbage and 10% decent cars. The 90% being the average person cars like the Echo, camry, accent, and every Kia ever built. Kia's break more than lazy workers! Bottom line is Import and domestic both make crap cars and a couple decent cars. Cars a built to break. Im an aircraft engineer, i would know. If Nasa can send a shuttle to space, im sure they can make a car last longer than they do.

Yea i just took a look at that, but none the less, it smokes a turbo charged nissan 350z with 460hp, there is a video on here, it also blasts a viper away. And yea i have heard about its inherant problems, but that can be changed with 1000 dollars. The drive shaft is replacable with better lighter ones. But honestly, i cant find a jap car that is any good. I really hate them. American muscle is the way to go. I wasnt talking about our take on efficiency.

okay i am racist because i hate a machine, OKAY? makes a lot of sense.There are shit jap cars too. Also, if you knew anything about cars, muscle cars run at low rpms compensating for its large motor, 500-2500 in normal driving versus 2500-4000 in jap cars. My car gets 28 to the gallon. My mother has a honda fit which i have driven and it is only 35 to the gallon, you tell me smart ass, whats the trade off? weve had toyotas, suzukis all are no better.

People who value creature comforts over performance care about interiors; seats can be swapped out, you know. The Cobalt SS obliterates the Si. Si runs 15 flats; stock SS/TC can run 13.5/13.6 STOCK. Even the SS/SC runs 14 flats. A whole second is not "just barely."

the reason that the big 3 are fucking themselves over is not because people wokeup and pulled their heads out of their asses is beacause of some other reason that i personally do not know. hondas or wahtever dont really last longer than american cars they are breaking down left and right while american cars are still going. i`m driving a 31 year old chevy and it still holds it own it doesnt break down ever unless i choose to let it.

bud we are talking about racing here, not fuel effiency. And plus i get 30 to the gallon out of my car and it is american. Very reliable car. Couldnt be happier. After that engine has had enough i will drop a 469 in it with manual trans. and new suspension. I like european cars better than japanese cars. They just dont appeal to me. They sound like hair dryers. And their engines make strange noises after 70,000 miles.

hyundai sucks and they are not more reliable. and there are a number of different reasons why the auto industrie is going under plus since when does a charger top out at 116 maybe the late 70's ones but not a muscle era charger no. that sonata isnt that fast either and gas prices are low enough for the american population to buy gas guzzlers plus any true american from the muscle era will buy power over gas mileage.
