Thanks for the instructions ! I just bought an identical device as yours! Q1: At the cigarette jack I've a soft grey silicone ring (round and dented) clamped between the 2 washers. Shall I keep this soft ring or remove it ?? I'm almost sure that I've to keep as is. As the producer never has unnecessary item. Q2: I've the oldest i phone, 1st generation, 4-5 years ago. Does it work w this FM Transmitter? Q3: There is a QS button on the left, what is it? Q4: I tried to install - didn't work ! Tks

If it really works on Ipod nano5g, if you put the iPod nano video, would clip/holders from the sides hold the ipod nano? because the ipod nano's width is not that big compared to the ipod touch or iphone. and lastly, if I wanted to take the fm transmitter at home and listen to it on the stereo and not the car would it work? or do I have to plug it in the car for the fm transmitter to work? if you could answer my questions thank you in advance...I'm about to buy this product...

This item seem great at first. However. I don't know about others, but for me, when i put my iphone in the holder, it becomes VERY TOP heavy and won't stay plugged into the cigarette lighter. It doesn't fall out of the lighter itself, but comes out enough to no longer provide power to the device. Also, with navigation apps, i.e. TomTom or Navigon....the app won't work because it loses it's GPS signal when plugged into this cradle.

Hi i have purchased this product about 1 month ago from Canadian Tire. it sounds really good but I'm having one issue with it. I plug it into my 2004 vw golf and sometimes i can't play music on it, it only shows that the battery is charging ? it usually happen when i first start up my car, it works when i get my car going after like 10-20 mnts. ANY IDEA WHAT'S GOING ON WITH ?? PLEASE HELLLLLLP. THANKS IN ADVANCE

Do I have to plug it into the charger for the FM transmitter to work? or is it all happening wirelessly? or the cable that's really important is the short one that plugs into the headphones jack? cause I don't want to be obliged to connect the iPhone to the charger each time I want to listen to some music or talk on the phone, it's not good for the battery. Thanks in advance for the answer

@gulffrit - Actually, not sure what you mean, show you the sound of the iPhone and not the radio? I am doing another video showing the iPhone 4 using this kit and as usual, it works great, remember, it depends on your setup, how far you are from the radio and most important, the STATIOn you use, hence, less interference, sold over 10k of these so I know its not an issue. thnks.

Great Video!!! I bought from Amazon for £10.99 a Chinese made by the way Amazon flogging these devices far too fast and quick delivery, this gadget does the job value for money. Minus side is not much documents in fact none at all.from Chines suckers (blood). But This video made job lot easier. This video answer all the question and doubt. Good work Guys. Keep it up.

@brenanhatesyou - Im sorry you feel that way, MOST product in the marketplace carry a 1 year warranty, even APPLE, what do you want, a lifetime one? no problem, then we will sell the item for $1000 and you can have a lifetime warranty. 1 yr is standard, alot of people have had thiers since the first generation, thats about 3yrs. thanks.

@2ndserenade - yes actually, not for calls, but if you are listnening to music and they have it on the same station as you which is very rare because why would someone have it on 88.5 or 88.7 (low budget stations for example) then your music would play in their cars...lol, its a very powerful FM transmitter. The biggest question for me! Ok, usually I use my 3gs as gps. And while I`m listening to usual radio or HD, I can't hear incoming call ringing, because the sound goes through fm transmitter and my phone is ringing on other frequency I'm not listening to! How to switch fm-transmitting off??

Hi mate....its working good for listening music and hands free talking. BUT I can not use the GPS in the car when it is attached i.e. its charging. Its saying poor GPS signal. while in the same time GPS signal is good if it doesnt connected. Seems to be strange problem. do have any tips??

My Merlin holder keeps falling over and then looses its connection so looses the station frequency... am very disappointed... what are other alternatives to play iPhone music in the car? iTrip also useless. I cant believe no-one has come up with a good device for this

yo momo, i have to reset the radio frequency every time i turn my ignition on. goes back to 88.3 or whatever the default setting is (my frequency is 87.9). any solution to this? any why doesn't my gsp app work on the holster with dock connected to my phone?

The only issue with this witch is pretty terrible is that if someone in the car in front scans for fm stations and you happen to be parked in a car park they can hear all your music and phone calls. Not great from a privacy perspective.
