Run 2 (two) Photostream/iCloud accounts on 1 (one) computer for your iPhones or iPads
My wife and I both have iPhones and wanted to sync both Photostreams/iClouds to the same Photostream folder on our Windows 7 PC with only 1 Windows ...
This works great centralizing all photos into a single folder. I have an
issue with viewing photos. I can view my photos fine, but can't view photos
sync'd from the other iphone. Inorder to view them I have to go into each
photos properities and add myself to the permissions then I can view. I
have admin rights and have no problems accessing the folder or changing
permissions. Any ideas how to correct this would be appreciated. Thanks in
advance.
Hi, hard to say for sure, but I'd guess if you have the folder located
under one of your user profiles and if that is the case sometimes the
Windows UAC can give you problems with that. Simple way to fix that would
be to put the folder under more of a common area like the root of C:
drive....such as c:\Photostream versus using the c:\users\userID\My
pictures\photostream. Hope that helps!
Your welcome. It's hard to say for sure why it's not working. It's
possible, since I posted this video 6 months ago that the software for the
control panel/Photostream has been updated and works different now, but
there are a lot of variables so it is hard to say for certain why you are
having difficulty. I wish I could be more of help. Thanks for watching!
Sorry, I haven't upgraded to the latest version of the iCloud control panel
that was just released yet. This video was geared for the older version of
iCloud. I may take a look at the newer version though in the coming weeks.
I would imagine you could do something similiar with the newer version to
get this to work. Thanks!
thank you for this video. great help. interestingly when i put a picture in
upload file it immediately uploads to my ipad but when i take a new picture
it does not appear on my PC. what may i have done wrong? thanks.
I cannot get this to work. I suspect it may be related to the fact that I
cannot locate UBD.exe. I recently updated the icloud software, have you had
any luck getting this to work with the latest version?
Awesome. You can do a runas for IE, but you have to do it from a command
prompt for it to work. Windows GUI won't let you do a runas on IE I don't
think for some reason.
it actually worked. not sure if a restart or starting the 3 services BEFORE
starting icloud.exe did the trick (or both) but pictures are in sync! Thank
you!!
