The phone doesn't have enough hardware decode horsepower to play a Youtube video full screen... its probably a single core processor.

+PC5032 yea when that phone came out it was cool to have a touch screen, considering it was a cheapo prepaid phone. But looking back, it was pretty awful.

it dose not come with the keyboard you need to set it up, so,yeah tats a lie,lire but it is a great phone to use

yes, you just have to go to settings and make a click.  So yes, it does come with the keyboard option.

Sound quality is 8/10 on music player however youtube sucks the sound quality is 4/10 and dosen't fill the screen

I am considering upgrading to this phone. Dumb question and I wasn't able to listen to the whole video and might have missed you telling us but I was wondering If I connect to the internet with WiFi does it still eat your minutes?

good question.  When you are on wifi, it will not use your minutes.  You can use wifi to surf the web and send email, but texting and using the phone to make calls will still use minutes since they are not a web-based function.

why not get some money go to walmart and get a prepaid card for 5.00 and then put money on it and register it buy calling the number on the box and activate it and go on to amazon.com and get it. : )

Just call the number on the activation card and follow the prompts.  If you run into problems, you will be directed to a cust service rep who will assist you.

How do you change the date and time? Ugh...can't figure it out!

The Date and Time of the phone are controlled by the service provider.  You can manually set but have to do it at midnight.  When you install battery on an inactive phone, the time starts at 12:00 AM or 00:00 in military "zulu" time.  When you activate the phone, the time is set by the service that provides the signal.

+ebuff57 I had this phone for three years. Yes you can download games but there is no playstore. you download from a selection of tracfone stuff. you can get on youtube but you can't play anything on youtube because of network issues. You are not connected to google or android in anyway. it is not a smartphone for that reason. not android or apple just a phone.

I've seen on another review that this is called a function phone. It has the functions you would want on a phone but its not a smart phone that it only does Java based aps. For what I wanted and the service I have I can't use an Android smart phone.

+arden298 This may be a basic phone to you and many others, but not to me. I mean, a capacitive touchscreen (same with iPhone and Android), access to youtube, email check, 3g, wifi, the only thing I could possibly take away from this being a smartphone is that it runs on java. Despite the java operating system, this in fact, IS a smartphone.

This is a quick messaging, basic phone.  Smart phone is connected to the internet and depends upon data sending and receiving information to operate.  This is a basic phone.

+Classic Ginger No they don't deduct minutes if you use them while connected to WiFi. If you use them while not connected to WiFi, there is a chance that they may deduct minutes.

Is there a way to disable the third bottom button where calls are concerned? What I mean is, since the keys are so sensitive, when I have the phone in my pocket and somebody calls me and I reach for the phone, I can accidentally swipe the third key with my finger or when I'm pulling the phone out it will slide up against my pocket and push that key which will cause the call to be rejected.

So can you watch YouTube Videos? Have you tried? I have a Samsung390g and though it's a different model, BOTH phones have wi-fi and Java & I can get YouTube on my phone. Remember I KNOW that I have a different phone, but they BOTH have java and wi-fi

my tracfone LG 840G roams in fringe areas and every time it loses and regains the signal it uses minutes even WHEN NOT IN USE! and theres no way to turn off roaming. I found out the hard way and had to switch back to my double minute phone.

Does not have option to block callers. I downloaded a mp3 that is silent. Callers i donlike i place in their own secial group. Then change the ringtone to the silent mp3. I had to change each contact name with the silent ring.
