Matt, I've been meaning to ask you ever since I first heard this mix: How did you manage to get the second syllable in "baby" (in the line "don't call me baby") in the right key for the accompanying backing track? What I mean is, if you'd used the original line from the Madison Avenue track as it was originally sung, there would have been a "key clash" between the vocal and the backing track. I hope what I've written there makes sense!

just FYI if you use a really heavy keychain and then use your car keys it weighs down the key compartment and kind of ruins it :S it's a hassle so be careful haha but do whatever you want :)

Sometimes it would help if you guys knew what the fuck you were talking about. Those who've never worked retail should shut the fuck up. I agree that profiling with personal prejudice is wrong, but the age old, tried and true, practice itself is absolutly essential to preserve your margins, especially when facing cuthroat competiton and credit card companies that heavily side with consumers (which is not a moral decision, but a business one). In the vast majority of cases there is no animosity, no inherent dislike. Its simple, staggering, easily observable, statistics, risk management to stay in business, and to keep your job. People in retail are on the front line, but they are often the least capable of biting the bullet.

Question: So, who is allowed to spend outrageous amounts of money on simple things? I don't believe in spending above your means, but most of the country is in debt because of this very problem....and more white than black because they are the majority. I know rich black people with old money who walk into high-end stores and are racially profiled. Most people who walk in these stores are putting themselves in debt, but aren't questioned every time they make a purchase. You don't get it because you haven't experienced it.
