Good unboxing. I have the same case too and really like it. I wish it were easier to put on and off so I could just use it when I'm going some place where I think I might damage the phone. Did you buy yours at Best Buy or online. I didn't get a box for mine when I received mine from otterbox. They said that was so they could ship it to me faster.

I actually feel what you feel but the opposite, I think with the 4's belt holster I had to visually check everything was aligned, but the design of the 5's holster makes it so that there's only one way its firmly inside the holster. Its a pretty big improvement to me. You'll probably get used to it over time and when you do you'll realise the way they designed the 5's holster is more logical.

I was disappointed with the fact that there is no protection over the back camera and front earpeice and camera. Of course there is a mic on the back between the camera and flash so it is kind of understandable. But I do not get why it is not protected in the front.

I think they did the holster that way so you could grip more of the phone when you are taking it out and you would be less likely to drop it while removing it from the holster.
