The blue uag case does a great job of taking falls. But it's slippery as
all heck. And because it's slippery, I've dropped and watched my phone do
cartwheels down two stairs. Dropped the phone way to many times to count.
I'd recommend the speck grip case. Far less dropping and can take a drop
when it does which is not as often as this uag.

I had the blue one on my S3 before and I'm thinking of getting the clear
one when I get the M8. does the clear one have the same texture as the
colored ones or is it smoother? Because it look like it would be smoother
to be that transparent but I prefer to have a matte like texture.
Not so much, nothing like Samsung. On a serious note I don't think you will be unhappy with it. I'm using it as I'm writing this trying to look for flaws but it's a great case.
The texture it completely different feel. The colored ones have more of that matte smooth feeling, kind of like the lid to an ice chest ( stupid comparison I know ) where this clear case feels like a smooth plastic case. The honeycomb look is on the inside not out. The only thing you can feel in the back is the UAG brand and the screws
