Yes. Once you buy from Virgin Mobile the phone can only be activated and used through a Virgin Mobile carrier.

i had a virgin mobile 4s i bought in april 2013 then i just upgraded to the 5s i love it! i still use my 4s as an ipod :) i don;t really want the 6 and the 6plus is way too big might as well have a tablet.the 5s was on sale for only $150 the phones are now out of stock after 1 week later.glad i have mine.

+Morales uS That's why I went to T-Mobile because they have true unlimited 4G LTE. 2.5 GB is WAY too low unless you plan to only use your iPhone for talk and text and nothing else.

The thing I don't like about these prepaid carriers is that they throttle the LTE speeds. You'll never get the real speeds like the original carriers unless you use prepaids directly from AT&T and T-Mobile.

I got my iPhone 5s from virgin mobile yesterday! (I chose the oh-so classy gold version) As soon as I took it out of the box and stripped its screen covers off- into my otter box it went lol (I was scared something might happen to it like something happened to yours)

I had a 3GS and told myself I would never buy an iPhone again. I cross shopped this with the HTC One. I eventually chose the One because it shoots awesome video and I love how it's all aluminum. The only gripe I have is the camera doesn't like to focus.
