& i did everything right but when it says preparing iPod to restore on

what to do, can you please help me? Thank you!!
I Lost all my files! i'd recommend using de iCloud back-up istead of the
iTunes back-up! If you synced your iPhone on iOS7, iTunes automatically
overwrites your iOS6 back-up. So when you are back at iOS6, your backup is
useless. Use iCloud, and everything will be the same after downgrading.
If you must use iTunes for some reason, try creating a separate iOS6 full
back-up by changing the name of you iPhone and hit Sync. Then change you
name back and upgrade to iOS 7. Now you know witch back-up will work if you
choose to downgrade back to iOS6.
