XBMC - How To Install and Configure KODI ALPHA 3 - *METHOD ONE*
In this video we will show you how to install and configure xbmc using zip files. Alot of our viewers have had problems installing the Hub Wizard so this method ...
1channel just went down for me this morning =( The last 3 times i used the
factory reset & it worked again for me without having to enable custom
domain. Then this morning nothing has worked. Cache clear, reset,
reinstall, unblocked, 2,3, .co or .bz. hours into this fiasco i settled
with project tv & it seems to be a more efficient use.. so far. Is 1channel
fully blocked now? or is there a new domain?
Quick question, I currently use Gotham 13.2 on my Windows 7 HTPC and my
Android set top box. Is it worth it to update or switch over to Kodi as of
yet? Or should I just wait for full release of Kodi and not bother with the
alpha? Am I missing out on anything? Or is it the same thing?
Setting these things up with the Wizard is great for novice people, but
when you start doing the customize thing you could be there all day messing
around with it.
This doesn't work for me, nor does method 2. In config wizard, then click
windows, when prompted to customise I get ERROR!; firedrive file error.
Same every time no matter what method I use. Doesn't work on tablet android
application either. Any suggestions?
GREAT!! :( not really, i've done both methods but it doesn't work, the
configuration gives an error both ways. i hate when this happens, like it
works when everybody does it but not when i do it, there's always something
wrong! but thanks im sure your video was helpful for everyone else! :*
XBMC/Kodi 13.2 Gotham Dual Screen Setup Windows 7 64bit
Update 11/14/2014: Video on how to stream XBMC library through your network is now up. Click here! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_3Fsqsjbjs This is a ...
Hi Colin,
I have my dual screens setup like you, BUT, when I want to do some work on
my Primary screen, It always minimizes xbmc... Is there a way to watch
something on screen 2 will working on screen 1?
+Steph T Hi Steph, if you go to Settings > Video > Video Output and then put a check on the option for "Use a fullscreen window rather than true fullscreen" this should prevent Kodi/XBMC from automatically minimizing. The only issue with this is if your computer doesn't have enough resources it may cause lag on the video. However, this won't be an issue if you have a hefty graphics card/cpu. Let me know if this helps! I may have other options or options that I can research and share (and learn about myself!) Thanks for watching, - Colin
I set up my dual monmitor setup with kodi and the xmb menus work fine but
when I stream videos only very few channels play on both screens. Most
channels have black bars on both outside of both monitors. Any way to have
video streams play on both without black bars? My resolutiuon in Kodi is
set to 3840 x ? and I have eyefinity activated in windows.
Hi Jonny, On Windows, the best method I found is to use my tutorial to set up the XBMC Chorus web server. Then you can use Chrome browser and the Chorus web server UI (web page) as either a remote control for XBMC on "Display 1" or to stream content from your library directly into the Chorus UI on "Display 2". To set up this method you can navigate to my tutorial on how to set up the Chorus Web Server by clicking the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_3FsqsjbjsSo it would be like this: - Remote ControlNavigate to Chorus Web Server UI on Display 2 (Secondary Screen) Use the UI on Display 2 to play/control videos on Display 1 (Screen where XBMC is loaded up) OR - StreamingNavigate to Chorus Web Server UI on Display 2 (Secondary Screen)Use the UI to stream videos on Display 2 (Secondary Screen)If I helped you, Like, Comment with any further questions, and subscribe for future content! Thanks!- Colin
Great tip. Do you know any way to stream different contents on different
displays? Maybe through a network... I've just discovered this software and
I heard a lot of great stuff about it. Thanks.
Hello Cristi Lazar, Thank you for commenting! XBMC certainly is functional and fun software! I have looked for this solution for Windows 7 for a long while. However, if you have Windows 8/8.1 you can find an App in the Windows Store called XBMC Second Screen. Here is an additional tutorial on getting it set up: //www.casa-del-stifler.de/?p=488&lang=enI will probably release a video tutorial on setting it up and trying it out in the next few days.
