Because those nations have labor laws that dictate fair wages and hours, and are a perfect mix of socialism and capitalism. At first they were awful like China, but they got better. Communism has kept China in the past, and they are going through the same stages that other capitalist economies went through. However, it may very well stay that way, as the Communist government will suppress any negativity from overworked employees, and prevent unions. Thats the big difference.
