I like Writing Kit better than any of these. It has Dropbox sync, GREAT
Markdown support - not only a cheat sheet, but dedicated keys on the
keyboard so that you don't have to remember Markdown codes, and both a
"quick research mode" (searches) and a full web browser for pasting
external text, etc. into the text editor.

Don't watch the show. The scene he describes from the book, when Jamie
takes Cersi in the Sept as Jeoffrey lays in state is pretty nasty. Cersi is
on her period, even though it was consensual, it was still very disgusting.
I'm sure the show version was worse.
+50ftFrankenstein HA! Certainly not. Or the murders of Rhaenys, and the fake Aegon Targaryen. Most of all: Doran Martell's love of watching the kids play in the pool in Dorne. The producers dodged a bullet by making all those characters like the Stark kids and Dany older.
+Joe Blow Yeah, there's definitely a lot of stuff from the books that just couldn't be aired even on HBO. Dany's infamous diarrhea scene from ADWD comes to mind.
I could care less about your love of period sex between siblings in the presence of their rotting abomination child. My distaste of the show has nothing to do with grotesque things; I was a medic in the 3rd infantry. I like my vision of the story from reading the novels, the show would be steps down from it. Can't wait for the REAL story to be told in BOOK six.
So because of that you're gonna tell everyone not to watch the show? That's low man, how do you even know people will be as offended/ as much of a pussy as you are?
I've never seen a game in my life that has a story and characters of this caliber. On the bio ware note... Kotor was great, me1 was also a great story (they kept getting more actiony after that) the dragon age series is quite intense and is chock full of lore and other goodies, even books have been published for it. Despite that's it's nowhere near as intense as GRRM stories are, they're still great stories
Also Westeros is clearly a representation of The UK or great Britain i
would say during the dark ages maybe as the geography of westeros matches
england and scotland with the wall being hadrian's wall with the wildlings
(Picts) king's landing is no doubt London as its location in westeros is
the location of london in britain. Also england is the birthplace of
fantasy.
Id say essos is also most likely turkey with its more middle eastern culture along with braavos being similar to Istanbul/Constantinople with a little help from Rhodes which is just under turkey. Along with the farther you move east the more desert like and mountainous it gets. The dothrahki are clearly a copy of either the huns or mongols (pretty much the same thing) whom were fairly present in turkey during the middle ages.
+Sam Trevelyan that's pretty circumstantial man, I definitely don't believe that what you said is right (not the historical part, but the "based on part")
Of course. Lots of the GoT storylines and characters are based on (mostly English) history - Margaery Tyrell, for instance, is similar to Mary Queen of Scots, whose first two husbands were both killed in mysterious circumstances and she was then arrested by the Queen of England for causing too much trouble. Sansa Stark also roughly matches this description.
